“Stumbled upon this park by accident. To the train from Fresno to Hanford for superior dairy ice cream and needed something for the kids to do for a couple hours until we left. Looked up local parks, this was the closest and worked out great!! It was a very hot day and the jungle gyms are in the sun so not safe for the kids but this water pad was amazing! Lots that shoot up from the ground, spreading flowers, a little drop bucket one- perfect on a hot day!! Bathrooms need some thorough cleaning and paper towels would be beneficial hence the 4 stars, but really a great place to cool off and easy to get to!”

“My son's birthday was held here. It's has a nice play area for kids. If you're looking for a nice place to relax and for kids to play, this is it. Trees provide good shade from the sun. There's an area with some gym equipment if you'd like to work out. There is a restroom too.Have never used it though😉.”

“Greetings from Northern Virginia! Hadn't been to this park in many years, on a previous family visit when my kids were young enough to want to go to the playground every day. Super nice little neighborhood park with sandy playground, lots of swings, a covered picnic area, and a curvy, paved, partially shady walking path with exercise stations. There's ample parking including handicapped spaces, and even an ice cream man who stops by the entrance. Lots of people and pups socializing and exercising and relaxing. They all seemed happy to be there. Great old trees (a neighbor walking the path told us one is 100 years old!) Also a geocache ;) Suggest adding a few additional benches along the trail for folks who need to sit every once in a while and also small signs identifying the more significant, interesting trees.”

“This is a nice sized park with a really great playground. Playground has one tall structure for older kids and a couple of smaller ones for the little(er) ones. There are also a couple of swings, though one of them (the hammock swing) has been missing for quite a long time. Big downside is that the playground has sand. And some of the slide elements are not really shaded so can get uncomfortable on sunny days. Decent restrooms too.”

“I have driven by this park a dozen times on my way to work and never given a second thought. My son started playing in the Roseville Little League and it has become 1 of the 2 practice fields, and now I don't think there's another field I'd want to practice at. Very convenient as to the parking and the traffic through the area has always been light.”

“I think that most of the reviewers are talking about a different location, because this little pocket park is not right next to the LA River, but is rather right across the street from the railroad tracks. It’s a very urban setting, and not a park designed for exercise. But here’s what it’s good for: Go to a grocery store and buy a stick of butter and a bunch of grapes, then buy a loaf of sourdough bread from the bakery across the street (the best sourdough bread south of San Francisco), then go to the park and have yourself a nice little vegan lunch. It’s a pretty setting, but don’t expect to see much if any wildlife.”

“Drive up to the trail head was treacherous. We had a cheap rental and was a difficult drive up. We only had about 40 minutes to hike and down but it was a very nice hike with some great views. 4x4s or jeeps are recommee.”

“The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail is a nice trail which follows the Truckee River and Hwy 80. The trail stays close to the river a majority of the way and has a few historic buildings along the trail. It's gradually climbs the canyon and offers a unique and peaceful experience. I mountain biked from the lower start of the trail about two miles before turning back around.”

“I love Botanic Gardens! Came here with my friend and husband (they both love plants and I like flowers) to explore. Admission is $18 which I found pretty high. I would think for that amount, there should be a bigger parking lot (we found parking on the side street, not even in the lot). The garden is huge though and we spent 2 hours exploring. There weren't any water fountains (that we saw) and I was dying of thirst after walking so much and emptied out our water bottle! The greenhouse had really cool plants like the corpse plant and a helpful and creative display of how to care for your plants and visual examples of them. I have to say, the gift shop was a little disappointing and didn't have too much stuff. They definitely sell a lot of plants though. On our exploration of the gardens, it is easy to get lost and miss lots of things cause there is so much to see! From a blue lined lizard to the real tree house with a great view and lots of different fruit and flower trees! Admission price is high but I will say there is plenty to see and walk around. It definitely helps to bring a hat or umbrella.”
