“Beautiful Open space for biking, running, hiking, lounging etc. If U make it to the Marina side U can rent Kayaks and Paddle boards as well. Just an all around awesome, tranquil space right in the middle of the city. I have explored quite a few sides of it and each section has something a lil different. Look at your Map to pinpoint the different jump of spots. Primary area is off of University/Irvine but there are other "trail heads" all around.”

“It had been maybe 6 or 7 years since we walked at Powell Butte and returned to find it better than we remembered. Meadow grasses had matured and paths we're in great condition. The steeper trails on the forested back corner were appreciated for variety and a decent workout to boot. Really felt like we had left Portland behind for somewhere very different. An added bonus, due to the topography, the summit loop path is shielded from the traffic noise below making this a sound refuge as well. Ahhh...”

“My partner and I are full-time RV'ers and have been on the road almost 3 years. We've seen a lot of RV parks/resorts, and one thing we've realized is how the park is run, and it's staff, is a huge key to a nice stay. Michelle has been so amazing and runs this park like a pro. She was kind, and enforced all of the rules that ensures a nice stay. We've extended our 1 month stay twice due to how well this park is run; we intend to stay longer and return next fall/winter! The maintenance guys are always friendly and on top of reported problems and they keep the grounds in nice shape. If, by chance, the leadership of this park is listening; you have a great staff here at Santa Fe and I welcome a call from the ownership to discuss how well your staff is doing. On that note, it is not the quietest place, but the location cannot be beat for all that San Diego has to offer. The laundry room is modern, clean, and has newer machines. I highly recommend a stay here. Have a great day!”

“This is a great park in the middle of a bunch of apartments and condos. You do not have to be a resident to visit. There is plenty of grass to picnic, sidewalk to scooter/skate, and a big playground for the kids. This park is kid friendly and dog friendly. The bathroom facilities are nice and clean. There are security guards to keep the place safe. It's a great escape in the middle of Mission Valley.”

“We have a "Thoughtful Walking" group that meets each Tuesday morning at Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden from 10 am - 11 am. We have gotten to know many of the volunteers at the ticket window. They are always very nice, and accommodating. One of the joys of walking the gardens each week is to watch the seasons as they change the garden from week to week. The group which sometimes reaches 15 people never grows weary of the gardens as nature seems to always become our teacher, and inspiration. Fantastic spot.”

“It's very very nice. The turf is well tended and kept clean. The paint is continuously repainted and the goal post are very nice. However, it's very small and the water fountains are very faulty. Lacking good hygiene and proper maintenance as the fountain tends to not work.”

“Moved to SD a few months ago so I've been trying a handful of dog parks in the area. I love this park! It is a fairly large park which is nice, but it is not a fenced area, so I would be cautious if your dog likes to run off and explore on their own lol. There are always a ton of dogs and people, so my pups always have a great time. There is a lot of seating, so it can be nice to come and sit or read while the dogs play.”

“This park is a hidden gem. It's quiet and ideal for socially distanced outdoor activities. There's many sport courts: tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball. There's also a playground, horse arenas, picnic areas, clean restrooms, little free community library, and much more. This peaceful park gives access to charming hiking and horse riding trails. The lawns are very well kept.”

“This is an excellent park to get a good workout in, it's pretty clean and has pretty good lighting. However, I would not go past ten as there are a lot of people that go there at night around 11 up to no good. Up to 9pm is still very safe though so I'll go 5/5 stars but just leave by ten to avoid issues.”

“This is a well-tended, gorgeous establishment with a structure and tons of green grassy space to romp or ride about, ideal for kids! Only one concern is proximity to the highway, which while protected by barbed fence, is a downhill slide, not to mention source of white-noise uncharacteristic of such a beautiful park area.”
