“Christmas Lunch Review: Pad See Ew was decent and I enjoyed it. Noodles were thick and had a good texture. There was just enough flavor for me to find it tasty but I could have appreciated a little more to be honest. The beef noodle soup was quite lack luster with an excess of noodles that seemed to be extremely clumped. We got a 3/10 spice level for a papaya salad and it felt like a 1/10 at best. Everything was quite unremarkable but overall we still enjoyed our lunch. Who knows, we just came back from Thailand so maybe I'm being a little too harsh. The skewers are good and juicy (remember to choose mild or non spicy if you don’t eat spicy)- bring a friend or two to enjoy the variety of skewers. “It is a nice spot selling Acai bowls. It was in this location, that I have tried an Acai bowl for the first time. It was really delicious. However, the prices were on the expensive side. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed my meal. The place, during my visit was clean. The staff, on that shift, were helpful and attentive. The line was non-existent. Of course, I came during day time, on a weekday, at the end of July, 2022. So, I do not know, how it is on weekends or Fridays. At the same time, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the bowl. Definitely, I would recommend anyone, who visits downtown area of Claremont, to stop by this small dessert shop!”

“We heard about this place from people around Merced, so when we had the opportunity to try it while in Le grand we took it. It was damn good!!!! We went back twice in one day!!! Theres not much sitting area and they only take cash. The little liquor store next to them willet you get cash back, but she doesnt charge a flat rate. She charges a fee depending on how much you spend in her liquor store...pretty shady if you ask me. So take cash before you go. Le Grand doesnt have a Chase or BofA around. You wont be disappointed with the tacos or burritos!!! They were amazing!!! The ladies cooking inside were very nice and friendly!! Just know that Le Grand is FULL of gang members. Thankfully we didnt encounter any issues. In fact, the people we did encounter at the truck were all very nice people. Still, tread carefully. Get your food and go.”

The wasabi was creamy, ginger was fresh and crisp, the rolls are mostly enclosed in rice paper instead of seaweed (I don't mind seaweed, it's an acquired taste I have come to expect and enjoy, but this was different and better), and every roll had an umani quality where it just melted in your mouth. We all (3) loved this place, ordered 6 rolls and crushed 6 rolls - 48 pieces, ginger salad, and desserts, plus a special unlisted roll at the end of the night to-go.
