“Have a cousin who was in town who grew up in LA and she suggested this spot! It was perfect for a heavy July 4th weekend meal. I’ve never been crazy about pastrami, so I opted for the chicken sandwich and the pastrami fries. Both were super appetizing! The chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly and so big I could barely fit it in my mouth… Definitely not beard friendly, but it hit the spot! Pastrami fries were fantastic! I think I enjoyed the pastrami more in this fashion then on the pastrami dip sandwich my cousin had. Regardless, I would definitely go back! We also grabbed a drink from the bar before our food came. We had the cantaloupe margarita. I can’t say that I was impressed with it or would get it again. But, the food!? Definitely!”

“I don't understand why the rating is so low. I hesitated a bit because of the low rating but I gave it a try. Because I really love 떡볶이 so that I might find the good place. I ordered the 치즈떡볶이, 스팸컵밥, and 김말이 for the side. And I'm so happy that I did! It tastes good. I love how chewy the rice cakes are and fried fish cakes are really yummy. 컵밥 is a bit salty though. The sandwich was good. I got hot spice level and it was spicy without being over the top. I'd get the same level next time. The coleslaw was fine and was good after the spicy sandwich but probably wouldn't get it again. The mac and cheese was creamy and good. I'll go back and try the fried pickles and fries next time.”

“I was visiting LA and met with a friend I hadn't seen for almost ten years. The staff was very friendly. My friend and I sat and chatted for hours, and no one tried to kick us out. I appreciate the level of hospitality. The food was excellent! I don't eat meat, and the server helped me pick a few items that accommodate my food preference. I highly recommend this place. My only suggestion is to get a card reader that allows you to add a tip. We didn't have any cash. I felt horrible not leaving a tip. So we went down the street to an ATM and pulled some money. (Or just remember to bring cash to tip your servers.)”

“Odd Fellows Tavern is a wonderful dining establishment. The food is delicious! Our group started with the deviled eggs and fried calamari. 3 of us had the burger and the 4th person had the salmon. All the entrees were prepared to our liking and tasted yummy! We then tried all the desserts. The trio of creme brulee - vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio - was divine! The chocolate cake was paired with a coffee ice cream which really enhanced the chocolate flavors. The s'mores cup and the hand pie were also delicious. We had a fantastic meal! Thank you to Mike Linker and his wonderful servers for a delectable experience.”

Imagine a 蔥油餅 but with a little bit of savory potato filling inside The ground meat kebab was excellent I don't remember if we choose the Chapli or Shami kebab, it was the non-spicy one. “Tacos El Vampiro is located here in the city of Sylmar. They are a family-owned business. I began coming here since they were street vendors. Let me say from the first time I tried the food here it was like love at first bite. They used to post up Thursday to Sunday on glen oaks and Herron but now they have an actual location here in the shopping center. It's beautiful to see this restaurant working together as a family. The staff makes you feel like your family. The food here is outstanding ranging from tacos to quesadillas. They also do keto tacos for those who are watching their weight. I highly recommend them. They are savory with lots of fresh ingredients. The salsa bar is nice too. You can get from mild to spicy depending on your preference. They have indoor dining or a cute outdoor area that lights up around 6 pm super cute. I love the tacos de al pastor with grilled pineapple and jalapeño. This spot can get busy so you can order online or by phone. Trust me tacos here are a must.”

“A pretty great coffee house with a lot of options. They serve breakfast burritos as well. I enjoyed my oat milk latte and also the green tea. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is cozy and the store has a cool notice for Google reviewers up on the wall. They also have a “pay with a post-it” program where you can purchase a drink in advance for someone less fortunate. The person can take a post-it from the chalkboard and get a free drink. The only criticism I have for this place is the name of the corporation—“Beanery Corporation.” It just has a…distasteful ring to it because of its proximity to a certain derogatory term. Edit: The coffee shop has stated that “beanery” is an old, turn-of-the-century term meaning “cafe” or “cheap eats.””

“ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I always try to come during lunch hour because they give you a mini salad, your main dish with rice and an egg roll. I would have taken a picture of the salad but I ate it so fast I forgot! I also get the watermelon boba which is so good! Not too sweet and not too plain. My mom and I are always greeted by Ana (the owner) and her son Patrick! They are very nice, humble and attentive. Great customer service. The restaurant is clean and nice.”

However, I felt they were a little stingy with the toppings— they only had 2-3 pepperonis per slice. *Use the photo I posted as reference* Perhaps this is just their style of making pizza? “The Food I am not sure how noodles differ in different regions of China. But when I walked by Classic Guilin Rice Noodles, it seemed like an interesting place to try. My friend and I ordered their Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork Guilin Rice Noodle (牛腩，脆皮桂林米粉) along with Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle (合味特色一口粉). The Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle came with a sampler of different noodles. These "Bite Rice Noodle" give a chance to try different noodle dishes. I enjoy both the Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork as well as Special Small Bowl noodles. I like these styles of noodles, and the flavors, though similar, are pretty good. They of course have a variety of other dishes besides noodles, so will need to return and try them. The Miscellaneous The restaurant itself is decent sized with a good amount of seating. The interior is clean with interesting decor, giving the typical Chinese restaurant vibe. The service and staff were nice and sincere. They took our order when ready, and the wait time for the food was pretty quick. Their menu has other selections besides noodles such as stew, hot pot and rice plate. The prices are not unreasonable so it is worth a try if you are in the area.”
