“We had ordered six burgers, four chicken sandwiches and two quarter pounders. When we headed home we were missing a quarter pounder, which happens, so we decided to call. Nancy had picked up and asked for our order, pulled it up and confirmed we had ordered six burgers in total. So she apologized and said if we were able to come and pick up another burger, which I had some errands to run so I said it would be in the next hour. I had showed up and she apologized once again and had my order made right then and there. She made sure it was done accordingly and when she handed me the bag, I was craving a milkshake so I was wondering if I could order again since it was slow. She had it done on the house and said apologized again for the missing burger. That's how managing and accounting is done, when an order goes wrong which happens, it's how it's handled afterwards that makes it right. I really appreciate Nancy for being helpful, understanding, and making sure she manages correctly. Great service!”

“This has been my favorite sushi spot in LA ever since they opened in 2017. Their rolls are simple and incredibly tasty, I love bringing people here for sushi. Any sushi on the menu will be top grade. All of the cooked food have a unique spin that creates the chef’s signature. It’s seriously so good. I went here once for omakaze Valentine’s Day and ate like a king! Such a fun experience. My favorite moment though was tonight when the waitress said that I left my jacket here in June, and brought it out to me!!! I had stopped for some comfort food while my boyfriend was in the hospital and didn’t realize I left it. I’ve been looking everywhere for it. Such incredibly nice and wonderful people work here!”

Long story short, we combined our leftovers and brought then home for my son. Everything was tasty and hot. There's so much more on the menu, we plan to return. “If you wanted a planted based restaurant/cafe - The Grain Cafe is definitely for you. My first time and I will be a returning customer. My partner has talked me into trying more planted forward and based restaurants but this one hits it in every mark. At first yes the name you think of organic, fresh, etc. when you walk in, total vibes are really amazing like a speakeasy bar, but fun full with color and vibrant music. They also have a front patio, but if you're not in mid city they also do have 4 other locations! So this is the spiel everything is plant based no real eggs or dairy all plant based and vegan. But full of Mexican flavors and seasoning which is the true winner you wouldn't be able to tell the difference and I love that about plant based restaurants. I got the breakfast burrito which comes with a side of potato wedges. My partner got the chilaquiles which were amazing! To drink water, and I wanted to try the ginger pineapple lemonade! Delicious as well! It has that ginger- taste like your taking a health shot but in a good tasty way! Definitely recommend of course, and coming back!”

“We went to this place a couple of months ago when I was out on a work trip. The colleagues that I was traveling with were craving for some Indian/Pakistani food (one of them never tried this kind of food, so there was a lot at stake here at least with suggestions). I googled and this place came up and socialized the idea. They were all game for it. So, we showed up and the place and the place was empty and we all were skeptic. We were asked to take whatever table we choose to sit at. My colleagues put the ordering on me. The owner came out to take our order and he suggested a couple of dishes. I told him that the other guys has had very little to no exposure to Indian/Pakistani food. He asked me to relax and just taste the food when served. We ordered Beef Nihari, Kabab Platter, Mutton korma, and Garlic Naans. We were also worried that the food would not be enough (we were three hungry guys). The food comes out and OMG, it looked amazing, smelled amazing and a lot. We took a bite if the beef Nihari and our eyes rolled. The mutton was melt in your mouth. The Kababs in the platter were so tender. One colleague was just having garlic naan (all by itself) just coz he said he liked the taste so much. The owner also came out asked us to ask on our verdict on the food. We rolled with our praises. We had a great discussion about how he started his business, where he is originally from (he is from Lahore, Pakistan), business during COVID, etc. All in all, a great experience, food and great bunch of people. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is around the strip and is craving for some good, authentic Indian/Pakistani food.”

The Tom Yum soup is one of the best soups I've tried in any restaurant & the way they serve is great too. The pad Thai and vegetable/tofu curry was great too. May be a little pricy for a family but felt it was worth it.”
