“I started attending this gym a week ago and I’m loving it so far! They have a lot of different class options and the coaches are really good at working with everyone at their skill level. All the classes are open to kids, teens, and adults and they divide the classes by skill rather than by age. Definitely recommend for anyone that doesn’t like the traditional gym setting but wants to incorporate a more active lifestyle!”

“My daughter took violin lessons with Kaila for about two years when she was 6-8. Kaila is a warm, fun, and dedicated teacher who helped my daughter become proficient with the instrument rather quickly. Kaila doesn't focus solely on technique but helps her students understand music as whole by writing songs, teaching notation, and performing. Learning to play a musical instrument is a long process that requires constant practice... so my daughter sadly began to lose interest in the process as she began to advance in pieces and technique that required longer practice times. She is now playing violin with her school's music program and hasn't made ANY progress (in fact I think she is actually getting worse) than during her time with Kaila. I secretly hope that she will ask to go back to Kaila at some point in the future... I'd sign her up in a second.”

“My son Andy has been attending the Gulu Gulu After School Enrichment Program and Summer Camp for the past 3 years. As a parent, the Gulu Gulu program has exceeded all of my expectations. There are so many great things that I want to share with other parents. Gulu Gulu promotes a warm, nurturing, safe and accepting learning environment. To be honest, the staff and other students feel more like extended family members the longer my son is in the program. He feels accepted for who he is, yet he is challenged to do his best. Gulu Gulu provides small teacher to student ratios, which allow my son to get more attention and support he needs. Also, as a two parent working household, Gulu Gulu has safely picked up my son from his school and transported him to the learning center for the past 3 years without any issues or concerns.”

“Great gym, great staff, good equipment! I have been a member here for a few years and I am happy to have been one. Unfortunately, over the past year, the gym has been incrementally being taken over my what appears to be incredibly large groups of high school students who come in groups of 10 or more. The gym is small as it is, and not even considering the pandemic, the capacity constantly feels strained. Unless you come at certain times (early morning), be prepared to wait 10-15 min for any equipment. If you need a squat rack, it make take upwards of 40 min for one those to free up (especially if a group of friends is spread among all 3). I have seen one teen spend about 70 min on the squat rack, performing sets of 1 rep before resting for 10 min and chatting with his friends, who are using the rack next to his, who also chat in between sets with their friends on the next rack over. This is not a criticism of the gym itself; like I said, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my membership here over the years. It is just becoming unbearable with the crowd. Whenever I see a sign or email announcing some kind of promotion, my heart sinks further lol. I think it’s time to move on to another gym! Thanks for everything so far. Maybe I’ll come back if you expand or change your capacity limit. 😊🙏”

In 2021, it is only the third full time Islamic high school in San Diego. My elder daughter studied their from KG thru 8th. My younger daughter in graduating 8th and will continue in the high school. The teachers are very dedicated, has great Islamic environment and core education is also good. There are two campuses, elementary school is in Claremont area while middle and high school is in Allied Gardens campus.”
