“Before our decision to put my oldest son in LiMai Montessori academy , we checked out couple preschools in our neighborhood. LiMai Montessori academy became a very special school for our family . First , no religion, instead, a concentration on academics, which I think is much more important. My oldest son enrolled here when he was 2,5 years old. After 1 year we have to take him out because of our financial problems. And it was such a hard time for me as a mom because I see how my child became unhappy and every day he was asking when he can come back to the school. After 7 month we enrolled our oldest son 3,8 and 2 years old daughter. And they love it so much. Every morning they are so excited to go to school and in evening they don’t want to go back home. That’s the first sign this school rocks. Usually when kids start going to the preschool for first time they cry a lot and they don’t want parents to leave them there. But this is not about this school. The enrollment occurs very easy and smooth. Second, every teacher , faculty members, etc, reinforces a positive environment that enhances my kids self esteem and confidence. The teachers care so much about their students and are extremely dedicated to their jobs. My kids started the potty training at 2,5 ( my son) and at 2 ( my daughter) years old and it went so well and so fast. I was so impressed. Third, they have two chefs who is making a healthy and delicious breakfasts and lunches , which is very important for me. So for our family’s opinion this school is worth every penny.”

“My child is in the gifted magnet at Braddock. It's a great program. The kids' academics have been advanced and enriched, with advanced math early on, and enriched English language - they read over a dozen novels as a class, in both 2nd and 3rd grade. My kid was reading at 9th grade lever in 3rd grade. Third grade performs a full-blown Broadway musical - this year it was Matilda. They use advanced software in class, FinalCut Pro and others. They do science fair, spelling bee, and talent show school-wide every year. Most of the teachers work hard to give each kid what s/he needs - I know in 2nd grade the teacher was pulling from several different math curricula to make sure my kid was challenged. There is one class per grade, 2-5, so they stay together as a group and from what I see all the kids in each class play together and are cohesive. The campus needs work - it is not very green - and there is little after-school programming but a new Mandarin Immersion program is starting in Fall 2016 and I believe it is going to make a big difference, bringing a lot of energy to campus. The Principal, Ms Lopez, is very accessible and willing to work with parents so a lot can be done.”

“Brian has been teaching 3 of my children piano for several years. He is the most advanced teacher that I've ever met, and I do have quite of bit of musical experience. He is patient with the kids, moves each of them at the perfect pace and is extremely professional and reliable. His recitals are amazing and my kids love watching his top students play and dreaming that one day they will be at the top of the list. Brian also has a few teachers that he has trained whose prices are less than his, if you want to have your child try out piano for awhile and spend a little less. I have known many of Brian's clients over the years and I've never met one who wasn't completely thrilled with how well their child was doing under his training. The staff and swim instructors here are wonderful with the kids, and have the same level of training and enthusiasm as the YMCA. It's a really warm pool which the kids love.
