“I went to Taft Primary for K and 1st grade. Was in love with Kim Johnson who was in the 4th grade and had no idea I existed. My best friend was Dawson, a Hawaiian guy. My first kiss was with a girl named Christina inside the barrel made to look like an ant. I walked 6 blocks to school with my sister Tracy who is a year older than me every day, no CPS was ever called. And it was the middle of the cold war.”

“What fun place to learn how to sew! The atmosphere here is electric. Laura Price, the owner, really knows how to make learning to sew fun. They offer kids camps, after school programs, birthday parties, private lessons, and much more. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the experiences had here are definitely memorable. I'm telling everyone to check it out.”

“One of the best decisions we made for our child was sending him to World of Wisdom. I did not realize how remarkable this school is until my family moved and we were confronted with preschools and day cares that do not offer anything close to the opportunities for academic and social development that we found at World of Wisdom. I can not recommend Ms. Wisdom and her staff highly enough, this program is exemplary and the strides our son made, especially after he was at home during the pandemic, were incredible. Send your children here, watch them bloom. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.”

“They share their playground with the community when they are not using it, which is great and really generous. That space is great for babies and toddlers. It's open but it has a roof, so you can go when it's raining!!”

“A as Concordia school grad I can fully approve of this school and you'd be here for days if I were to recognize all the good it has done me, but to name a few; it put me ahead of my class when in comparison to my middle school class by several grades, in the years following and gave me great interpersonal skills that I still frequently rely on in my life while fostering a lifelong love of learning. I have since gained my pilot license while going to college for aviation but through the challenging curriculum, I thank Concordia for instilling the values and skills in me which majorly contributed to making my dreams a possibility.”

“We've had the pleasure of entrusting Pleasant Valley Play Garden with our son's early education journey since it opened. As he prepares to transition to the next chapter of his schooling this summer, we're immensely grateful for the opportunity for our youngest to seamlessly step into the nurturing environment provided by PVPG. Under Nicole's exceptional leadership, the entire staff has created an atmosphere of warmth and care that is truly unparalleled. PVPG stands out as a charming, nature-inspired haven where children spend the majority of their time outdoors, engaging in enriching activities like tending to gardens, caring for chickens and gathering eggs, and interacting with various animals and reptiles. It's more than just a school; it's a hidden gem nestled within our community, fostering a deep connection with nature and instilling invaluable life skills in our children. We couldn't be happier with our experience here. Tara & Adam Mason”

“My personal experience during the demo lesson was exceptional, and l am eager to share my positive feedback here! The main reasons I decided to join was because of Dr Sunny's reputation for excellence in the tennis community. From the very first lesson, I noticed tangible progress in my tennis skills. Dr. Sunny's coaching style is both motivating and effective. And I can truly feel his expertise and dedication within just a short period of time. So highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their tennis game like me in such a supportive environment.”

“We are so lucky to have found Ms. Betty. We have been sending our two boys here for four years now starting when they are 8 and 3 months old. Ms. Betty does such a great job taking care of the children. My younger son is very prone to diaper rash. He develops a rash almost every weekend, but he never gets a diaper rash during the weekdays when he is with Ms.Betty. I am amazed how clean and tidy she keeps the daycare, and because of her effort, she was able to keep the daycare open the entire time during COVID. Ms. Betty's cooking is great. I love the delicious and hearty smell coming out of her kitchen every morning. The kids eat so well there. Ms. Betty offers an amazing program. The kids do a lot of fun crafts and their reading and maths are more advanced than most kids their age. She also teaches them good manners and how to express their feelings and resolve conflicts. Most importantly, Ms. Betty loves children from the bottom of her heart. She treats the children like her own and treats the parents like family. We don't have family nearby, so when I went to delivery my younger son, my older one stays with her for a couple days. When my older son started preschool, he does not like the lunch I made for him, and when I told Ms. Betty, my son misses her food she offered to packed him lunch everyday. She adjusted her whole morning routine just so she can get the lunch ready for him every morning. Ms. Betty also knitted three really cute hats for my younger son when he was born. There are countless things like this and I can see that she does not treat the daycare as a job, rather she does what she do because she really loves spending time nurturing and caring for the children. And the kids feel the love and thrive there. They have a bright smile everyday when I pick them up and are always eager to go to the daycare in the morning. We had a detour with my older son. We transferred him to a bilingual preschool when he was three because we wanted him to have more opportunity to use Mandarin. He was never happy there and always asked to come back to Ms. Betty's even one year after the transfer. Eventually we came back and within days we can see him becoming happier and more outgoing. This detour showed me how other daycare operates and made me appreciate Ms. Betty even more. Not only is Ms. Betty great. She has a very high standard for the teachers that work for her, and we just have so much peace of mind knowing our kids are in such great hands.”

“I came during Chinese Lunar New Year and Vietnamese Tet festivals. The temple is decorated beautifully. It also brought us a Vietnamese temple vibes atmosphere here where many people pays a visit to Budha temple in the beginning of a new year for good luck. Many great Budha statues. They also offer vegetarian food in exchange for donations.”

“I loved being challenged here as the classes and teachers were inspiring and thought provoking. I felt appreciated by my teachers (one gave me a Student of the Month award) and was surrounded by driven students who encouraged me to perform well. The only thing I didn't like was that the students were often snotty and cliquish, and I experienced some racism here from the mostly white student body. I did feel like I received a great education, though, that is helping me in my college experience.”
