We had the perfect sunset and perfect weather for the trip, and everything about the experience was top-notch. Kurt was a friendly and knowledgeable pilot and tour guide, and he was extremely responsive in the days and weeks leading up to the trip with any questions. I was a little nervous going into it with it being my first time flying on a helicopter, but the ride was extremely smooth and I felt 100% safe at all times. Definitely would do it again!”

There are drinks and snacks and some essential items for in case you forget them at home (medicine, hand sanitizer, etc). Camping here was great, but beware of the mosquitoes. Make sure to bring bug spray cause you'll use a lot of it”

“iNaturalist listed West County Hawk Watch as one of the best ways to see raptors in the Bay Area. I signed up for their Lynch Canyon and Sears Point raptor walks. Both walks were well attended by birders of all levels as well as some professional photographers. The guide does a great job of talking you through how he’s finding birds (“I heard an alarm call so now I’m scanning to see what’s causing these birds to alarm - maybe it’s a raptor”). You also get access to areas that aren’t always open to the public through these walks. Great way to see birds and learn more!”
