In addition to finding an affordable place to train with nationally recognized instructors, and good people, there is very little ego, a low emphasis on competition, and a strong focus on practical self defense. Danzan Ryu JuJitsu is a traditional Japanese martial art with strong Hawaiian influences, this dojo in particular also brings in many influences from Filipino martial arts, weapons training and to really keep it balanced a Healing Arts curriculum. Definitely worth checking out!”

They let me know I had a cracked oil pump gear and referred to to a great spot for a replacement part. “This is one of the local favorites for Hawaiian food. Hearty authentic tasty food, clean and informal setting, and excellent service (the waitress refilled my coffee 5 times!). Tip: if you don’t mind Kim chi, definitely pick the Kim chi as the fried rice option. Could be a little on the salty side but definitely tasty! Tip: I also asked for a side of gravy for my breakfast plate, the kindly provide for free! I couldn’t finish and they gave an extra small cup of it for me to take. The service is really outstanding.”
