A Better Place Funeral & Cremation Services

We chose A Better Place because of all the wonderful reviews and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Our daughter died a horrific death in Denver. We live in Wisconsin so we had to handle her preparations remotely. Thanks to Angelica and the staff her remains were handled expertly and with great compassion. They coordinated with the Victim’s Advocacy Board to get us compensation which was greatly appreciated. This has been the hardest time of my life and I will say that A Better Place did all they could to make it “better” for which I will be eternally grateful.

Our family wants to thank Dolly, Jennifer and their entire team. We choose A Better Place to have my mom's services. When I called to get information even on the weekend Jennifer was very responsive to call me back and help me with all my questions. My mom was in hospice on her last days here with us. Jennifer was polite and made me comfortable with the fist conversation. I had called a few other locations and they seemed to only care about the money. Since Jennifer made me feel comfortable about the process. I am so happy that we chose to go through them. They made my mom's celebration of life a great memory for our entire family. We had asked if we could do a mold of my mother's hands since we had purchased the mold prior to my mom passing. It came in the day she passed so we were not able to do it. Dolly made every effort to make sure that we we're able to get it done. Now we will have my mom's hands with us forever. Thank you again for all of the help and support during a difficult time for our family.

Of all the things I imagined for my life, planning a funeral for my husband at the age of 45 never once crossed my mind. To say I was out of my comfort zone would be putting it mildly. Jennifer and her staff were a gift from above; in a time when I could hardly remember my name, much less what paperwork needed signed. Jennifer found the right place for us to have a non-religious service, which my husband would have wanted, and at the same time satisfying the needs of everyone else in his family. Everything was perfect and there was no stress. Her pricing was the best hands down. The funeral business can be such a racket at a time when people shouldn’t have to worry about being takin advantage of. A Better Place ACTUALLY feels like they are there to do all they can to help you, not take from you. I cant stress enough how grateful I am to have these people by my side during this time. I called this place due to their 5 star reviews and was expecting to get the typical $10,000+ price. I was surprised to learn about all they offer for under $4,000, including the hall. This is the place to go. Talk about service. Dolly took really good care of us, I felt like family. Jennifer (the owner) even showed up to make sure everything was in the place the day of the service and gave us two dedicated people to help keep food replenished for the reception. Jamie and her daughter were the two who helped us the day of, Jamie kept saying to leave it with her and go be with my family. A better place is truly, truly AMAZING. Dolly, Jennifer, Jaime - thank you for taking such good care of my family. I appreciate you more than you know.

This mortuary was the best. Not only did they take care of our loved ones, the staff was amazingly nice. My family and I worked with Beranice and she was amazing and spectacular. She provided amazing service and was kind to all of us. As well as the owner Jen, she was nice and was able to save us quite a bit of money. I would definitely recommend their services. They are amazing and affordable too!!!!!!
