“I believe this is now the Crisis Stabilization Unit. If so it is an awesome resource for people who are struggling and need a safe place to reset. The staff is very kind and caring and willing to sit and listen to whatever you need to talk about. Their programming is better than any inpatient setting I have been to. Daily therapy is also really helpful. It's my preferred place of treatment when I need to be someplace for structure and safety. ”

“The Little Shelter That Could. Before you write that check to one of the other major nonprofits, read this. I was in Colorado addressing a family court matter, and had few options to bunk. This mini dorm is very well run. Its management upgraded in July 2018 to embrace resources made accessible by the Trump Administration. If you're a self-entitled addict, determined to use, abuse and move on when held accountable by local police, this facility won't be fun for you. Bums beware. For the sincere of heart only. Families will find refuge here. The only thing this shelter can't save you from is yourself. Whatever led you here will remain until you let professional counseling and possibly a job/housing specialist craft a Plan. SAFE for kids - but - this is meant to be Temporary. The economics required to secure a self sufficient dwelling are Well Known here. ($20 hr FT hours, no other obstacles/addictions), and a housing counseling (Section 8 or simply better Planning) is standing by at the very nearby Aurora Day Shelter (separate entity, but familiar with this place.) Located about 100 yards away sandwiched between two Aurora police stations. Families= anyone not a single. Singles (male or female): Their system of Intake has changed from a single-night lottery to an experimental weekly bunk-to-assess you lottery, (generated by software), a Pilot program designed to Eradicate homelessness in Aurora, not merely cope with it. Zero tolerance for violence here. Come eager to listen to professionals help you form a plan to overcome addition and/or re-acclimate to the Pursuit of Happiness or don't come at all. Con men/women, there's nothing the counselors haven't seen. Secure a Po Box here to receive mail. Cleanliness Vs Hilton: a 6. And 10x more patient. People usually evicted, ejected or otherwise barred for filth, bad manners or overall public tantrums are shown tremendous *grace here. *Aurora PD has a place in their heart for Comitis despite years of growing pains. The grassy area surrounding the police academy is purposefully fenced off to prevent (former) Loiterers from camping and deficating on the grass. Other Guests may be suffering from mental illness or under-diagnosed seizures. The building was never intended to be used as an emergency community home and Changes will effect its location soon. Overall I believe managers have done a good job with what they have to work with. If your life/commitments are in Aurora, find resources here. “Had no cut outs for the driver side seat handles. One side of the rear seat back had no Velcro on one side to hold it in place. Holes for the headrest mounts were to large even after an hour of moving the cover around there was no way to get it set up for even part of the holes to work right. In order to get them on my seats with less of a hassle, involved taking the seats out of the car completely. Only to find out they were messed up in random spots of the car, after a large amount of time have to seats done driver rear and passenger front. Shame on me for not checking the covers first. The price for these being messed up really pissed me off. Although because of the quality of the covers I can be to mad about it all. I hope come Monday their customer service is as good as people say it is. The covers that worked are down right awesome, besides the back bubble but they are covers you can’t really fix that.”
