“Between my nephew and my son, my family has spent 10 years at CCC. The teachers and staff are the most caring individuals you will find. The program offered here is the best available in the city of Boulder and it shows when the children head off to kindergarten excited and ready to begin their academic future. The relationships that are formed in these halls are deep and now that my son is starting kindergarten, we will miss this group of loving individuals more than I can say.”

“Exhilarating trail with moderate elevation change and gain. Some challenging steps along the way and a bit of some misdirecting cutbacks near the end of the Mallory Cave trail. Wonderful views from several points along the way. Our kids enjoy the hike as well.”

“Well. It was a really great place. I visited this place with my friend who used to work at NCAR. It seems a great place to work. Plus, the visitor center was very informative.”

“I love visiting NCAR. Back in the day, I used to start my day with a drive up to NCAR to deliver parcels. What a jaw dropping drive, both up the mountain and again back down with the views of the eastern plains...to die for!!! I love coming back, everytime I visit Colorado.”

“This school deeply offended my christian beliefs, and made father Jesus very upset. He will smite you down with the power of a thousand sins unless you personally apologize to my son. overall great school.”

“Great views and a very established trail network providing access to multiple peaks and climbing locations. A few places may be a scramble on Bear Peak. Definitely bring micro-spikes, or the like, if you go up in the winter. Trekking poles would also be handy for winter climbs. The trail is pretty busy, and you'll see plenty of trail runners. Parking available at the NCAR building/trailhead. Dogs are allowed on leash, and you'll see quite a few.”

“Hiked to Bear Peak via Shadow Canyon 8/10/2018 while on vacation from Illinois. I’m 53 and in okay physical condition. I hiked with my 18 year old son who is in much better condition. The trail guide at the South Mesa Trailhead rates this hike as “Advanced”. I took us 3 hours to get to peak and a little under 2 hours to get back down. My son certainly would have made it much faster without me. I had to make frequent brief stops on the way up to catch my breath. The high was 88 and it was sunny which made it pretty warm on the exposed sections at the bottom and top of the trail. We each took about 1.5 liters of water with us. I could have used a more. We had completed quite a few hikes in Yellowstone and near Denver and one in Rocky Mountain NP earlier in the trip. This was one of our favorites. Great views from the top and a real sense of accomplishment when we were done. It was worth the effort.”
