“We stayed here with our toddler in mid August with the Military Getaway Package. We were assigned the Longs Peak Lodge where the rooms all have mini refrigerators. Temperature: The temperatures during our stay were low 80s during the day and low 50s at night. We kept the windows closed at night since our daughter is a light sleeper and events can tend to occur up to 8 or 9 at night. Temperatures in the room would normally be around 79 degrees up until 9-ish. Noise: The doors in the lodge are incredibly loud. We tended to go to sleep early to be at the hikes earlier but doors slamming kept us up to 9:30 or 10 on most nights. Since the YMCA does hold events for groups of people, I would say this was our big negative since we are lighter sleepers. Area: The lodge and the views around the YMCA are incredible. There are a ton of activities to do up there and RMNP hiking trails are within 35 minutes away if you're on the road by 7:45 AM and there is no construction in the park. Look at the website to prepare yourself. We didn't and our expected 35 minute drive was an hour and change. Overall: We highly recommend you stay here. Our daughters sound machine helped her stay asleep in the noisy conditions so it could be something you look into.”

“Emerald Mountain Lodge is located on the very scenic grounds of the YMCA of the Rockies. During the summer and fall you can expect to see elk and deer roaming the property right near the lodge. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff was friendly. Great family vacation spot.”

“Beautiful location, quite convenient for the car-camping enthusiast. Sites are not very private, and quite close packed.”

“Love YMCA of the Rockies. Abundant wildlife stilling through the campus most all the time or at least close by.”

“A little bit rocky where we stayed, but good facilities and a bear box for your food at each camp site. No showers, except if you bring a solar water heater. They a place to hang your water bag and shower. The camp ground is close to lots of trails and is convenient to get in and out. Also close to park bus transportation.”
