Rocking M Ranch was in a gorgeous spot. The owner personally worked with me for two days while our rv was unexpectedly getting a brake job. She came in after hours to meet us and the hosts on-site were so kind. Choices of wide open green space or site in the upper area in the trees. Lots were a generous size.
Can’t say enough about the place. That is how we RV in Colorado!

Wonderful RV sites nestled in the woods, which my 3 kids loved. They had a few games up front for the kids including corn hole, ladder ball and tether ball. The campground was quiet and the campground hosts were so friendly and helpful! Cripple creek was a short drive away. Dump station on site, the sites that did have sewer were out front which didn’t have trees. We will definitely be going back!

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and our experience was fantastic. The owners have done a tremendous job upgrading this campground to make it a lovely experience for all campers. I have not been to a private campground before that provides such spacious sites to allow for privacy if that is what you are looking for. The camp hosts and crew could not have been more helpful and were very knowledgeable of the area around Cripple Creek. If you are looking to experience an area that will take you back to historical Colorado The Rocking M Ranch Campground is a great place to call your home base as you explore this unique area of the state.

We spent three nights here. It’s clean, beautiful, and peaceful tucked in the woods. Electric, water, picnic tables, fire ring. They also sell firewood. The sites are spacious. There aren’t community restrooms with showers so primarily an RV set up park. There is a dump station.

The camp host greeted us when we arrived and made sure we got situated on our pad. He also gave us good information on cell coverage and Wi-Fi. AT&T has no signal. T-mobile had a good signal.

The weather was unusually cold and wet with afternoon snow/sleet/hail. But it all worked out great.

We bought some groceries at a Walmart in Woodland Park. I think there was a Safeway, too. Nearby Cripple Creek is a beautiful drive and cool town. We also hiked nearby Horsethief Trail. It’s well marked and moderate in that the first half mile is walking uphill. Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak aren’t too far.

We’ll definitely stay here again if we visit this area.

The wife and I along with our 2 fur babies were on a mission to " beat the heat " in Texas. Our plans were to stay in Colorado for 1 week at Mueller State Park just a few minutes down the road and we just didn't want to leave Colorado. In our search for another RV Park, We had the luck and pleasure to find this very beautiful new RV park. The park is situated in some very tall beautiful trees which also included many Aspen trees, would really love to be there in the fall someday. Driving up to the park is a nice big sign and when you turn in the entrance, you will see 4 sites in the pasture before the trees that are very long and pull throughs but if you look up a little farther and into the trees going up the hill you will find the rest of the sites. If you were driving down the road past this park it is difficult to see the many other sites in those trees because it is far from the 2 lane highway so no road noise at all. The elevation of the park is at 10,500 feet. Our visit was the first week of August for 7 nights, the lows at night were low to mid 50's and a high in the mid 70's. When walking our dogs we always walked them in a large pasture that separates the park from the 2 land highway and once in this pasture, the views of the mountains were spectacular. The price per night is on the higher side but we felt is was worth it and reflects what you get which are very spacious level sites that are not right up against your neighbor with, 20, 30, and 50 amp service at every site. The water was clean, has a very good taste with good pressure. Nice fire rings wrapped in natural rock and table you get with your site is clear stained wood to preserve the natural beauty. Presently there is no sewer hook up at the sites and there is no WiFi. I have Verizon and the signal was really good at all times and was able to stream with it. My wife has AT&T and had no service until she was in Cripple Creek. There is free WiFi at the Library in Cripple Creek and it works very good if you happen to need it. There is a dump station on the way out near the entrance with plenty of room to pull in regardless of the length of your rig. Julie, she and her husband are the owners and although we missed her husband, it was a pleasure meeting her, so very nice, many suggestions of where and what to do nearby very accommodating in our opinion as is Harold, the camp host living in a house at the tree line. Cripple Creek Colorado is 5 to 7 minutes away and a fun place to visit and rich with history. Has a few casinos and many places to shop. The 5 donkeys we saw in town are free to roam the city and are very friendly! Woodland Park Colorado is 20 minutes away with plenty of shopping, a Best Hardware which has propane, 2 grocery stores one of which is a very nice large Safeway and a Walmart just another mile down the road. The other grocery was the City Market, we visited it a couple of times with no complaints. There is also a very nice golf course in Woodland Park. The western edge of Colorado Springs is about a 40 minute drive and the Colorado Springs Airport is 1 hour and 10 minutes away should you need it, we did. There are many other destinations near the RV park, some beautiful hiking trails, lakes and streams to fish in. We would definitely stay again and it is our plan to do so next summer!
