“From the lookout areas, it looks cool. But that's nothing compared to going down into the mines. You are walking through a maze of rock formations and colors. The shape of these formations seems to change as your viewing angle changes. I spent a whole morning in just a portion of the park. I liked starting early when it was cool, quite and fewer people. I'm planning to go back to explore the rest on future trips.”

He got it on the dolly thing and I RAN to check out. Out the door by 8:22am!!! Then I had to get it into the car - where all of the medicare stuff is. Pulled it out and was trying to figure the dimensions - a random guy walked by and helped me load it. I’m back home by 8:32 when the road to our house is BLOCKED due to construction!! Noooooo!!! I cannot carry the thing to the house. Got redirected (the other side of the hood opened up) and rushed back…parked and DONE. It’s in time for me to do my training!!!”

I would like the director of the hospital to know, and her supervisor, how excellent her help was. I had a special request, and she was informative and personable. As an historian and writer, and preservation advocate, I hope the new admin will consider displaying the historical Sanitarium artifacts in a higher traffic area, such as the lobby area, so patients and visitors can appreciate the history of the location and understand that the hospital values this history over a near hidden basement cabinet. If this isn't possible, than donating them to the Boulder Historical Museum in the name of the hospital, would preserve these artifacts for generations to come. The photos and artifacts are treasures, and I'd hate for the hospital transition team to overlook the historical, and public interest value, of these items.
