Got my dress here in February for my October wedding. I had a great experience with Paula. She showed me things that fit into my vision and a few things that were a little different. She was patient when I wanted to try the same dress on a couple of times between other options. I paid around $700 for a 60s vintage gown. I also got a short petticoat that is in great condition. She connected me with a talented local seamstress who took the full length gown and turned it into the tea-length dress I couldn't find on the rack anywhere.
Had a wonderful time at my Mill crest appointment. Paula was knowledgable, fun, and so so helpful. She has a huge selection of beautiful and hard to find styles, and really took her time to help me find a style that suited me. Highly recommended!
I just purchased my wedding dress at Mill Crest Vintage and had a delightful experience. Paula was an expert at picking dresses that would flatter my body type and she was honest and truthful with her opinions. I would not want a sales person to tell me something was right or looked good just to make a sale. She has a unique talent, vision and no nonsense attitude to move you in the direction of looking your best for that special day.
This is a very charming shop with knowledgeable and kind staff. They truly made shopping for my vintage wedding dress an easy, memorable day for me and my guests. Their selection is incredible and they effortlessly led me right to my dress because they really know what they're doing. I will continue to return here for other vintage accessories!
My only "warning", if you could call it that, pertains to the pricing. I combed through the website for weeks leading up to my appointment, and I narrowed my selection down to about seven dresses that I really wanted to try on. These all ranged between $500 and $700. I thought this was incredible, which was another reason I really wanted to check out the shop. It turns out that they have a PLETHORA of extra dresses not listed online. The ones I chose didn't seem to be around for me to try, but they found me plenty of very similar dresses. The dress I ended up with was just under $900. When I asked why everything online was so much less expensive, they explained that the items listed online were older stock, therefor discounted.
I can understand this, and I don't think that they were necessarily trying to get me to spend more, I'm just glad I had company with me. I saved cash and brought $800 with me, excited and anticipating carrying a dress out with me. I had brought "extra" hoping to pick up some jewelry or a cardigan. My mom stepped up and covered the remainder of my bill. There was an incredible selection of accessories, which the ladies showed me and tried to entice me to buy, but it just wasn't feasible with the unexpected added expense of the day.
All of that being said, I would still legitimately return there to shop and recommend them to anyone looking for fantastic vintage dresses and jewelry!
