“Dr. Mauer is an excellent doctor who really listens to his patients. His bedside manner is exceptional, as he is always kind and compassionate. Out of all my doctors, I know he listens to how I am feeling, and takes that into consideration before even prescribing or offering a solution. I remember when I was 26, I had my first terrible flare up with Ulcerative Colitis. More than 1/2 of my colon was inflamed and I was very, very sick. The only solution was a drug that was very expensive, but it would put me into remission. The insurance company was refusing to pay for it because it would have been cheaper for them to pay to have my entire colon removed. Well, Dr. Mauer was outraged! He went to bat for me, fought with the insurance company so that I could keep my colon. What doctor would do that? Dr. Mauer would! I have never forgotten that, how he went above and beyond for me, his patient. I will forever be grateful for this. He is awesome and so is the rest of his team. Always friendly, always happy to be there. Needless to say, I will never change doctors. I've already got the best!”
