These men and women are on call 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week ready to stop their home life and work, at a moments notice to respond to fires and motor vehicle accidents to save lives. I am a retired NYCPD Plain Clothes Detective and recently joined the Smyrna Citizens Hose Fire Company as Fire Police Officer. I’ve been a probationary member for 8 months and I am amazed every time we respond to a fire or vehicle accident the professionalism of the brotherhood and sisterhood of the Citizens Hose Company. I am very proud to be a member of the Citizens Hose Company #44.”
