“Down in Sussex County Delaware there really aren't many choices for a Colorectal Surgeon...but don't let that fool you. Dr. Michele Thomas is by far one of the best Colorectal Surgeons you will ever come by. Here it is linking her to Delaware Neurology Assoc, but that is her husband's office which is in the same building/office. I believe her practices' name is Delmarva Surgery Assoc, and she is definitely a Colon and Rectal Surgeon, and not a Neurologist, that's her husband, Dr. William Thomas. Dr. Michele Thomas is an absolute asset to Lewes, Sussex County, the State of Delaware, and Beebe Hospital. I can compare her to other Colorectal Surgeons from Johns Hopkins, U of Penn, and Christiana Hospital that I have had experience and procedures done by. Please don't get me wrong, those places have some excellent surgeons also, but none as good as Dr. Michele Thomas. Most surgeons, regardless of specialty, in my opinion, don't have the bedside mannerisms that say an internist or family doctor would. However, that is not true with Dr. Thomas. She has outstanding communication skills and always makes sure that you know exactly what is going on and what course of action she thinks would be best to take. Her office staff is nice and friendly as well, the wait times in her office are not bad, and her office is clean and easily located off Route 1 in Lewes. She performs surgeries at both Beebe Hospital and the Beebe Outpatient Surgery Center on Route 24 by Route 1...there may be more places, but I believe those are her primary operating centers. Her skills as a surgeon are just as good, if not better, than her bedside manner and communication skills. You are in good hands allowing her to do any procedures you may need...fear not. She genuinely takes an interest in her patients' lives, and she somehow remembers everything, even after some years go by of not seeing her. You will be hard-pressed to find another doctor, especially a surgeon, who is as skilled as her, all the way around. Intelligence, professionalism, conscientiousness, creativity, courage, and perseverance on behalf of her patients are all WELL ABOVE average. If you have a need to see a Colorectal surgeon and you live within a couple of hours of Lewes, Delaware, I highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Michele Thomas. This is NOT a paid advertisement nor am I affiliated with her or her office at all. I have Crohns' disease and some other issues that unfortunately have caused a need for many different colorectal surgery procedures to be performed. I've met and seen hundreds (no exaggeration) of different doctors throughout my life and I can only think of 2 others that have left a similar impression. I do not review every doctor I see, but when it comes to a doctor like this...a hidden gem...I will take the time to write this and hopefully help someone else connect with a surgeon that will be able to help them how they need help. I have only seen her husband, the neurologist, Dr. William Thomas once, and that was for an EMG test, so I don't have the experience with him to tell you all about him. I can honestly say that he seemed just as skilled as his wife though. If the situation arises, I will recommend any friend or family member to these two doctors without hesitation.”

“I am grateful for Dr. Mehdi and his kind staff at the Pain Center. I was referred there by my primary physician and a bit unsure as to what to expect. However, at my first appointment, my evaluation, Dr. Mehdi took a great deal of time getting my history and learning about my problems and complaints. He was very easy-going, and made me comfortable. He took the time to explain to me in great deal my particular issues and also showed me first-hand my MRI results. No doctor (out of 4 prior) had done that for me before.
