American Guest House

American Guest House is the absolute best Bed and Breakfast in DC! I stayed in very nice room for 2 nights while I dropped my kid off at Georgetown. The morning breakfast and coffee couldn’t have been better served in the building’s historic dining room. The owner of the B&B made the stay extra special with her personal attention to detail. 5 BIG stars and I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to DC!

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was a nice touch (especially the pancakes). I liked the style of the hotel, very unique and cozy! Very easy checkin/checkout.

We stayed a couple weeks ago. This place is incredible! A must-stay if visiting DC. All the main attractions are close by and the neighborhood is very nice. The house itself is charming, beautiful, and full of history. The staff was excellent -- we looked forward to the delicious breakfast every morning. We'll definitely be returning some time!

A charming stay! The hotel itself is comfortable and unique - much better than a bland hotel room. Lucia, the innkeeper, does a great job of accommodating your needs - she is currently the only one running the whole hotel with covid and does a great job. We will definitely be staying again.

Our stay at the American Guest house was ideal. We were in town to move our daughter from her Adam Morgan apartment. We worked hard and coming home to the Guest House was a happy, cozy respite at the end of the day. Lucia, hotel manager, is so kind and helpful, answering your every question and doubly talented as a marvelous cook. Her banana pancakes were delicious!
The American Guest House is ideally located in DC’s charming Adam Morgan area where you have easy access to a number of parks, restaurants and countless other activities within walking distance. We highly recommend!
