“Considering the volume of business that this location handles, the service was good, the food was hot and tasted good. I don't even like McDonald's. But, in a pinch, it worked out.”

“Cute shop! Great location! The mint matcha bowl was tasty and slightly bitter, it could have had more flavor. They offer a variety of cold pressed juices and smoothies that I did not get to try.”

“It’s been over a year since I spent the summer living near this amazing establishment. My girlfriend and i still talk about and crave this cake all the time. The chocolate cake is to die for. It is moist and delicious. I tried a bunch of flavors and all of them were amazing. I can’t wait for the next time I can get there and I love that you can order by the slice. If you haven’t tried it yet... do yourself a favor and try it you won’t regret it! ... your waistline might regret it”

“After decades of haircuts, some good, some not so good, I have just this minute come home sporting the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life! This was my second visit to Michael Talavera’s Metropolis salon (and that first haircut there was the now second best haircut of my life). Unlike some other nearby shops, Michael makes appointments (he will accommodate walk-ins when possible). As it happened today’s appointment was during what passes for a blizzard in Washington, and Michael called to ask if I were up to braving the weather. I was. For starters, Michael listens to his clients, and he applies what can only be described as thorough and knowledgeable skill. He has both an instinct and a well-honed aesthetic that elevates his work to the realm of a master. I very much appreciated that he ended the session with a complete review of what he had done and how I could manipulate the cut; I was astonished to see my hair performing in ways I’d never imagined. In art there can be superficial intellectualization without sufficient technique - and poor results. Michael approaches hair with understanding and with an intellectual rigor that does not devolve into the superficial or the trendy. The result of his mastery is a haircut that satisfies all the requirements one would expect of art. I give Michael an entire galaxy of stars, and my most emphatic recommendation!”

“Absolutely wonderful store. I’m always looking for a vintage find and they mark all there clothing with the decade it is from. A costume section was even in the back, but I enjoy unique pieces for everyday and would of worn some of the pieces on the rack in that section. Pricing was reasonable and service was amazing. :) Dressing rooms were a bit tight to try on items, but I don’t care just an FYi. :)”

“Great selection of team products. Prices are high, but about what you'd expect for officially licensed merchandise. Here's a hint: if you show a Capital One credit card, you get a 20% discount.”

“I was super impressed with the customer service! Dianne spent a lot of time explaining the options and helping me choose-even moving furniture so that the 2 recliners I was considering would be next to each other and easier to try out. She was patient while I tried everything and answered all of my questions very knowledgeably, but with no pressure. Sarah placed the order with me, and was also very patient and helpful with all of my questions about products, payment, and delivery. After I finished the order and left the store, Sarah discovered a way that I could get my recliner more quickly, and called me to present that option in case I wanted to adjust my order. The recliners are amazing and the staff went above and beyond!”

“If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. Honest outfit with knowledgeable staff. Don't overcharge you for labor on minor repairs. They tell you the truth and don't oversell you on additional tweaks if you can get on safely without the tweaks. Brought my bike in here twice for a front derailleur adjustment the first and new inner tube/to fix a bent chain ring. They've fixed both quickly and easily without me having to leave the store. Would definitely recommend for just about anyone with a bike.”
