If you are having an emergency and need to be seen immediately without an appointment you should go to an emergency room. If you aren't sure, I recommend calling the free 24/7 Kaiser advice nurse. They can help you evaluate your symptoms and suggest an appropriate facility and even book the appointment for you if needed. See my attached image for a summary of the types of concerns this facility addresses. If you are seeking care at the appropriate type of facility you can expect good care and courteous staff. I think they could do a better job of helping patients match their concerns to the appropriate facility on the KP website, but I can't blame the people here for that.”
