“My Dad was here for 4 months. If you communicate with the aids, are available to them when they need you, a part of your loved ones life, and a regular visitor, this place is AMAZING. My Dad was in a nursing home before where he was just a number and the aids were rude. When one is an aid, whether a CNA or an aid, you have to have compassion for your patients ALWAYS. They do here. After the nursing home experience, dealing with the owner Margueritte, the aids and CNA's Charmagne, Elsa, and Angela was an experience from heaven. My father had dimentia stage 6 that rapidly progressed to stage 7, and lung cancer stage 4. The aids were compassionate to my father even though he was rude and mean as a snake (dimentia does that). They were also compassionate to me. I got to know them. They were kind. They called me when they were supposed to. They called me when they needed something for my Dad. I, my mother, my friends, and other would show up unannounced only to find my dad well taken care of and clean. Sometimes my Dad refuse bathes because of his dimentia. The aids would call me to get me to call my dad to coerce him into allowing them to get him clean ("I won't come visit unless you are clean" etc.). They treated me as though I am family. Today my Daddy passed. Hospice was there 24/7 for the last 3 weeks or so, but when I got there to see his body, all the aids came to be with me at 3 AM. I will think of them often and wonder how they are doing. They became my family because of my Daddy. I also got to know all of the other residents there, and they are all well taken care of. “We have stayed here several times. The resort has a building on the beach and several across the street. At present they are finishing renovation around one of the pools but 3 others are available as is the beach. Our unit was recently renovated and is very comfortable with a laundry and full kitchen. Restaurants and shopping as well as groceries are nearby”

“Cannot beat the price and location. As other reviews mentioned, it's like a mini apartment with full fridge and small kitchen area, which I like. Just a couple points, not complaints, but points to make other guests aware of. Parking spaces are tight, so if you have a truck or large SUV, it takes a little work to get in and out of the parking lot. Ask for a street side space in advance if you have a large vehicle. Bring your own pillow or 2.(This may have already been addressed.)”

“Great place to BBQ right on the water. They also rent chairs on the beach and umbrellas. Snack bars and stores close by. There's also beach access for the handicapped guess that's the life guards for a wheelchair any one of the lifeguards. The Park is open till 11 p.m. there's barbecue grills along the beach there's also Pavilions will you can rent out for the day. Parking is $2.10 an hour.”

“This is my favorite beach in the coast of Broward County, the City of Pompano has done a magnificent job here, the northern side of the pier is much better than the South side of the pier because it's wider, the sand is white and always clean, there's volleyball and soccer right on the beach a convenient and we'll located bathroom with water fountains and the shower never crowded enough space for everyone without being on top of each other. Use the Pompano Beach Parking Garage and head north of pier which is walking towards the Hillsboro Lighthouse.”

The location is immaculate: 3 min walk to private beach - short drive/long walk to grocery store and restaurants - I even walked to LA Fitness from there - I do love to walk so I don't mind the distance - The apartment was clean and had all the amenities I need - it was home away from home - will definitely stay Villa Mar Azul again.”
