I love the open lines of communication at this school. It borderlines on overcommunication but I’d rather have more info about what’s going on w my child than less. “I have been using Fresh Heads since 2013. They are AMAZING!!! Back at our first visit, we had been dealing with lice for 6 months! We had tried everything out there- over the counter, prescription, home remedies- and nothing worked. But Fresh Heads finally got rid of it for good! Since then, anytime anyone has an itchy head, we go there to have it checked. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and prompt in returning messages. I cant recommend them highly enough! “I'm a big fan of the conveniences of Take 5! Especially, this San Jose location. Yesterday, I went on my 1-hour lunch break. I was greeted promptly and pulled right in. There were 2 other vehicles there and about 2 guys working on each of our vehicles. They filled the air in my tires and when I asked, promptly filled my wiper fluid. I asked for any coupons and they found one for $10 off. I got my oil, wiper blades, and air filter all changed in about 20ish minutes. So, once I'm off of work I can go home and not have to run this errand. I will definitely be back.”

“I've had a pleasant time living here for over a year. The security of living in a military base, the peace of mind know children can play outside and will be safe, the kindness of our neighbors, the super fast commute, school accessibility, the beach, these are some of the things I love. I live in a brick home (convenient in huracan season), all maintenance included (I even call to change a light bulb) and the staff if friendly. The power outs are an occasional problem that needs to be dealt with, but it's not enough to make me want to move.”

“My children have really felt privileged to attend mandarin High and have Mustang Pride. I would recommend it to anyone in Jacksonville area, and others that attend their magnet program. Gratefully, in spite of poor district and school administration talent, the High School has enough conscientious educators who do not use the "job for life" as a way of doing inferior work and that is what makes the school great. These are the heroes of one of the greatest schools in Jacksonville.. The only reason I will not give the school a 5 star is because they need to better define what they mean by "partnering with parents." It is a phrase used as loosely as the word "love," Whatever it means, if it means anything useful, it is diluted in practice. If they really wanted to partner with us they would first, do what a teacher should do: reach out to parents beyond the syllabus we sign, and secondly not wait until a problem gets too big to correct in time for quarterly grades. Sorry, Progress Reports are useless if Teachers have NOT graded ALL the assignments, making it's content not progressive. Focus website does not work as it is plagued by the symptom of delayed grading. Do not wait until we get bad news to ask us to "partner" with them. Any worthy educator know the students that need early advice to Parents before any issue gets out of hand. Partners do not wait until bad things appear to talk to each other, and then blame everyone but themselves for being silent. When they blame me and my student I am disgusted when I think how, if we had known, we could have partnered early.”
