“This little diner puts out some seriously good food. Traditional diner fare with a few unexpected, pleasant surprises. By far, the best I have had in many years in NE. FL. Their burgers are cooked to perfection, juicy and have a great taste. Fries very hot and crispy, but not overcooked. These places that advertise the "best" burgers (Jax has plenty of them) and charge you a lot of $$$ for tasteless, hockey pucks, can take lessons from their cook. Fish and chips best in Jax. Very, very light coating, just fried to a light, golden brown. It was not that thick, greasy coating that most places have to over-fry to get it all cooked and you have to peel it off to get a taste of the fish which ends up being grease logged. The Chicken Salad has a great taste, not overly seasoned and made fresh. Not dripping in a watery, mayonnaise or dressing with very little chicken breast which has become the norm lately. Plus there was plenty of it on the sandwich, contrary to the Famous "chicken salad place" that I won't mention the name of, that you can see the bread through the salad because of how little chicken salad is on the sandwich. The service was great. Our server was attentive and nice. I noticed she was the same with everyone. She made sure people had what they needed, when they needed it. The cook was terrific as all the food was totally awesome. Was told by another customer that I need to try their breakfast. When I asked which one was good, his reply "all of them." He said "you won't be disappointed." This is now one of my go to places for any meal of the day.”

“This place is awesome. Every dish I've had is fantastic with a generous portion. This isn't your average place that has a variety of Asian dishes at all. My wife grew up with traditional, homemade egg rolls and tends to use that as her bar for how good a place is. She loves this place, too. I'd probably eat here every day if I could. My favorite dishes are a make your own poke bowl and any hibachi (I've tried them all, even the tofu, and they're all great with lots of veggies).”

“3 of us went to the original Metro Diner and enjoyed a nice lunch. The place was busy but our food came out hot and fairly promptly. I go to this diner occasionally and have really liked everything on the menu. Today was no exception. I had the Philly cheese steak which was really good but my only complaint was that the sandwich needed more cheese. Their cole slaw is a favorite of mine and it tasted fresh and crisp while still being creamy. I highly recommend the Metro Diner for locals and visitors alike.”

My coffee cup never ran empty, the order came out as it should have, the food was hot, and her attention to detail is as good as it gets. Stephanie really made this stop special. I appreciate someone who is engaging and friendly, even though they are rushed. She never failed to come by and ask if all was okay. I would not hesitate to come back to this Denny's when back in town.
