El Patio Restaurant - Plaza Mexico

Authentic Mexican food, flavorful and great prices. Is a very humble place, recommended if you are down to earth. Great tacos, margarita and shots of tequila. Before you get there in the same plaza they have two small joints that sets the mood for "chinchoreo". I would have give 5 stars but our waitress didn't check on us that often, she could have sold more drinks, got ask for refills only once and our drinks were gone really quick since they were good.... We will definitely visit again

Hidden gem. Really good food for a quick bite right across from Parkesdale.

Literally ate my food so quick I couldn’t take a picture 🤤 I stopped for an agua fresca and ended up eating. This place is under new management and I’m not sure who the management was before but the people now are ON FIRE! We had steak and fish tacos and a quesadilla and guacamole and good lord!!! The chips and salsa were so fresh! The people were so nice! The agua Fresca was perfect! And good god almighty the guacamole 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 do yourself a favor, Get some strawberries from across the street and some guac from the super sweet lady at El Patio at plaza Mexico!

Really great authentic Mexican place! It’s a little hidden and super easy to drive by, but it’s worth the stop. They have a weird menu to be honest, some things I had never seen at other Mexican places much, but they do have some American options if you have kids. First, the chips are fantastic! They are thick and you can tell they are handmade, so satisfying to munch on while you wait for your entree. The enchiladas were great, but the red sauce is REALLY spicy, most of their stuff ranges on the spicier side so just something to be aware of if that isn’t in your palate. And the refried beans and rice were perfect, just how you want them to taste. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and I am very happy about that!
