“My first time visiting. I stopped because it is a very popular spot in my city. The inside was very clean (did not check the restroom). My order was taken quickly and the food was prepared in a timely manner and served hot and fresh. When I returned home the food was still nice and hot. “Heritage Oaks is a great place for those who wants to be in a smaller setting, we have less turnover than most facilities and half of our staff have been here for over 14 years. We take care of our residents and treat them all with dignity and respect. We make an effort to satisfy the needs of all residents. When family does not come for visits or bring the residents what they need, we step in. Some families like to be in denial of the truth of their family member so they blame the staff, we are not dealing with Alzheimer’s or Dementia but Psychiatric residents. We are a family and we conduct ourselves as one. No resident was ever yelled at and sat in their room all alone, if they are not asleep, they are on the back porch playing uno or poker and enjoying each other’s company. Heritage is a great place to be and yes there is room for improvement as with any facility, we had your family for how many years and once you leave it’s all negative. My staff takes pride in how we care for our residents and consider the needs of each one of them.”

I was waiting in the lobby for her to be finished and they brought me a blanket. When I spoke to my friend she had said it was the best place she had ever been to and that everyone accomdated her from the beginning. The price was not extreme. “So this address 350 took me to the wrong location. It’s up a little farther by the Pet Resource Center. The lady at the weigh station was so nice. It was pretty easy place to navigate. I was able to ask random people where to go and what to do. It’s just giant piles that are organized well and you just pull up and dump your yard waste. I also noticed a sign saying you can free mulch if you’re a Hillsborough county resident. I don’t know if that’s an always available thing, but it was today! So you weigh in, weigh out and you’re on your way. The facility is clean and pretty easy to navigate.”
