Growing up, going to the post office was similar to going to the DMV: long lines, angry people, rudeness, etc. But either things have changed, or I have just happened to have lived in areas with friendly postal workers: Kaneohe, Hawaii (excellent customer service), Lafayette, Louisiana (oil center branch-ditto for service), downtown Indianapolis (literally won awards for their excellent service), and now Key Biscayne. Although I don't live on Key Biscayne (since I am a poor person), this is a great, efficient, and friendly little post office based on my two visits. In an unfriendly place like Miami where kindness is in short supply, I especially appreciate these such businesses!
