They worked with me to make sure that the quality of the tattoo I wanted to get was top tier, and happily answered any questions I had and offered suggestions to help me. When I explained that the tattoo I was getting was my first, the artist helping me took time to explain his processes and the products he was using. The same can be said for piercings as well. They walked me through the steps and made sure what I was getting was exactly what I wanted.
