(June 6, 2022, 1:01 pm)Really enjoyed Salty Pelican. Very cool and laidback vibe. I was by myself and I sat upstairs at one of their windows side deck seats with a great view of the Amelia River. I had a crab cake sandwich with fries and a locally brewed IPA beer. The food was excellent and the beer was cool and tasty. The staff was super friendly. I will absolutely return here again next time I’m in the area.
(April 12, 2022, 7:17 am)Our first meal in Amelia island during lunch hour was not easy to find a place. The mail man told us about this place. Our experience here was wonderful. We got on the waitlist when we checked in with the hostess and we were told 45 times and in 15 minutes we were seated a party of 6 upstairs which has the best view in the house. While waiting someone recommended the fish dip which was grouper however it comes cold and I don't like cold dips so we got the crab dip & gator bits which was the best thing I tasted. Everything else lacked seasoning and was kinda bland to me but everyone else enjoyed there food and the service was awesome everyone was so nice and they worked together as a team we never waited long for anything the whole time. Will definitely return
(February 5, 2022, 3:10 pm)Railroad workers were repairing the tracks in front of the bar, so hostess seated us upstairs where it was quieter. Great views. I had one of the tastiest shrimp cocktails ever, local catch. Served hot or cold. Asked how do the locals like it - she said cold, because they’re easier to peal. Good call, good service. Bonus: Tuesday was $2 tacos. 😀
(December 16, 2021, 11:29 am)I was referred to the salty pelican by a friend’s friend. As it turns out she was very correct it is a very cool restaurant with a awesome upstairs bar overlooking the water way.
The staff was very friendly, polite and professional!
I ordered the fried shrimp and oysters with a side of clam/corn chowder…. Everything was very tasty!
They have a pretty wide variety menu plenty of items for everybody to choose from!
