(December 29, 2018, 5:29 am)I have been to VA hospitals in many different states and this one is by far the best. The staff is great in all the clinics that I have been seen. They genuinely care about your health and treat the veterans like the country’s most valuable treasure.
It is easy to come here and post a derogatory comment because perhaps something didn’t go my way but that would be an injustice to this VA. I read a stupid comment about doctors being all Hispanics and if you are white you don’t get treated well. This is B.S. I have been here for 2 years now and I have doctors that are black, white, Indian, middle eastern, no Hispanics yet but that is ok. They have all been great.
The only thing that keeps me in the Orlando area is this VA. That’s how good it is.
One more thing, unless it’s an emergency, opt to have your medication shipped to you. You will receive them in about three days. This is something they have improved on since I registered here. I only tell you this because sometimes the line at the pharmacy can get quite long and it takes a while for the pharmacy to confirm your prescription on the system and you might find yourself making the line 2 or 3 times. If you want to wait for your medication is better to go hang out at the cafeteria for at least 90 minutes and then make the line.
(November 28, 2018, 9:18 pm)I was treated in the ER today and I've honestly never received better care during any other VA visit anywhere in the country. My nurse and doctor both took amazing care of me. There are alot of VA horror stories that spread like wildfire but today I genuinely received amazing care. Thank you
(October 24, 2018, 6:31 pm)We would like to express our thanks to Alison Ramos in the pharmacy department at the hospital. We were traveling through Orlando to catch our cruise at Pt Canaveral when we received an email that my husband needed to get antibiotics for a urinary tract infection. We stopped at the hospital and Alison went to her supervisor to get the prescription approved so we could get the medicine and get out on our cruise. We really appreciated her going above and beyond for us.
You have a wonderful VA Hospital and you can tell that you are dedicated to care for veterans in a very professional and caring manner. Thank you all again.
