“Our AC went out the week between Christmas and New Years--on Saturday. We sort of knew what was wrong, having looked it up in the troubleshooting guide. We called Blair and not only did they have someone there within the hour, their rates were very reasonable. This is a small business still operated by the founder--and his son. They care about their customers, it is evident. When the technician, Kevin, confirmed what the problem was and knew he would have to order the part (a high pressure switch), he bypassed the switch, instructed us on how to use the heat if necessary, performed a cleaning and annual-type check (which was years overdue), and did not bill us anything because the fix was not complete. He left us set up to have both air conditioning and heat, and the thing that really impressed me was his integrity & honesty--he maybe could have tried to sell me some service or parts I didn't need, since I was nervous about overdue preventative maintenance. But he didn't. Instead, he reassured us that the unit is in pretty good shape for its age, and advised us not to put a lot more money into it and to begin planning for replacement. Kevin returned as promised to replace the part, and I was happy to pay the invoice because I know I got a fair deal. Highly recommend Blair!”
