“Dr. Newsum is a superior hand surgeon and a kind and compassionate man. He performed an emergency I&D at the bedside on my right hand following a severe dog bite. He constantly explained what he was doing while meticulously cleaning out each finger and and the wound itself. Dr. Newsum did such a great job that I was able to tell an immediate difference the next day with the swelling in my hand and arm. The infection was so severe that I required a 5-day hospital stay and around-the-clock antibiotic therapy. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Newsum saved my hand and fingers by doing such a thorough job and so quickly. I highly recommend this fantastic, young surgeon to anyone and everyone.”
