A good place to spend a day relaxing and seeing all the awesome creatures. My lady and I spent our day at the Clearwater Aquarium for her birthday because she's majoring in marine biology and loves all the sea creatures, and while we expected to enjoy our experience we did not expect to love it as much as we did. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it did not have quite as much as the Tampa Aquarium. We went on the dolphin tour and were very pleased to find that the dolphins were particularly active that day, and the price for the tour was reasonable. The staff was very friendly and informative and the atmosphere there is relaxing, fun and lighthearted. Parking is pretty straightforward too, and the location is near the beach so you can take a stroll down the beach after you finish visiting our aquatic friends at the aquarium. Overall I would go again and would recommend to anyone who likes aquatic animals.. especially dolphins. It was very nice to learn about the stories behind all their dolphins they've saved and rehabilitated, makes for a heartwarming experience.
This place is awesome. Love Winter. Great job guys you are doing an awesome job. A place you definitely want to visit. What they are doing for these beautiful sea animals and more is amazing. If you don't visit please think about donating to this incredible place. It's home to many amazing souls.
Best place ever!! Loved the dolphin experience. The whole place is fun and energetic. They always have fun experiences. They also inspired my love for marine life. Over all BEST PLACE EVER!!
This is not your typical aquarium. You won't see any pretty colored fish or a wide variety of marine life. Their mission statement is that it's a rescue and rehab facility. Once the animal has sufficiently recovered and able to be released, it's released back into the wild.
That said it's a very enjoyable and educating experience. Great place to spend a couple hours to learn about marine life. Of course Winter is the star here.
We had a blast at CMA!! This was our first visit since the new building was completed (we visited about 4 years ago), and Wow!!!! All the staff we came in contact with were friendly and offered tons of information. Our “Behind the Scenes” tour guide, Keith, was absolutely amazing! He made it a point to really connect with each of us during the tour, and he made the tour even more fun and interesting. Probably the best tour I’ve ever been on at any marine facility! I love that in addition to providing sanctuary for animals that can’t be released, they are still a functioning marine animal hospital. Being a nurse, it was neat to see all the different areas of the hospital side of it!
Great Job, y’all!!! We will definitely be back!
