“One of the most unique and beautiful neighborhood parks I've ever seen. You have the beautiful pier and 3 playground areas! Which is impressive because you have a big one a medium sized one and one that is monkey bars and climbing all with a beautiful view of the water and a awesome view of the bandstand. Not to mention one of the few handful of parks that are open late!! Definitely recommend”

“This park is great my 2 1/2 year old son loves it here. Alot for him to play with and it's shaded with AstroTurf ground. I would definitely recommend this playground to all parents looking for a nice shaded park for the kids to run out that energy.”

“The reservation system is a certified mess!! 😵 But when you eventually manage to get a spot, it's a really great place to relax and spend a few nights away! Each site has water and electric hookups, as well as a charcoal grill and picnic table for dining. The bathrooms have basic showers with endless hot water, and there are even washer/dryer units for the longer term stays available. Camp store prices are about what you'd expect. But the store folks are helpful and friendly. And can provide firewood and fire rings for those who like to sit by the flames before turning in. Sites vary in quality and comfort. Just like anywhere. Do your due diligence, and check out your sites before booking. There are video reviews of the various sites on YouTube with a quick search if you're not local also!”

“Great for getting good radio signal on hills. Other than that, the lake is pretty, the playground/ workout area is decently usable and definitely works for kids. I recommend going here on a picnic.”

“This is a long series of walkways over the edge of the intracoastal. It's fun and educational. Lots of nature to see. Fish, crabs, spiders, oysters, birds, turtles. Possibly even a dolphin or a manatee. Plus there's signs all along the way telling you what to look for. I highly recommend, especially for kids and nature-lovers.”

“Really coming together nicely. Something new every week seems like. Friendly folks and volunteers with a lot of information shared between everyone. A great place to show the kids how to garden and where food comes from. The community really works together. I enjoyed my time out there today. Can't wait to come back and help out some more.”

“2 separate parts to the park. One part is groomed. The other side is more natural trail. Also a path for walking and biking.”

“A really wonderful place to walk around in. The wildlife and fauna forces you to take some time to relax. There are a few too many dogs in there, perhaps it's what keeps the gators fed. Plenty of parking and directly across from a beach entryway. We will for sure stop by again next year when we're in town.”

“Spots are a bit tighter than most parks, more permanent than travelers but for the price it is a great value. Clean, well kept. Bigger rigs or with slides may find it a bit tighter than you like.”

“We love Indian Rocks Beach! The laid back atmosphere is how every beach should be. Some Florida beaches are not swim friendly, but this beach is! The sand is a white powder, the water is turquoise and the beach extends to Sand Key all the way to John’s Pass! You can ride your bike, too! I love that at beach access 20 you can find food right off the beach at the many restaurants and shops right on the main road. The downside is public bathroom areas.”

“Such a wonderful campground! My husband and I came for a weekend to get away from the craziness and the hustle and bustle and Poplar Point was too perfect. The sites are really well-spaced out and everything is so clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the trails and lake access are so convenient and clean too! If you are unable to reserve a site ahead of time and have to grab a FF (first come first serve) site like we did, be sure to get there before 5 on Friday to make sure there are sites available because they fill up FAST and there’s a line to check-in. All in all, such a great and beautiful place!!”

“Roxy and I go here often. Shady trees but mostly dirt. Patrons are nice and all tend to be regulars. Achieva Credit Union does a good job maintaining it and provides potty bags. I would give another star if they had more grass.”

“This is just a trail head so no amenities. Beautiful trails, a small bridge and super small observation deck. There was a huge family of crows who hung out with us at the deck. Very peaceful and trails are well marked. Being plenty of water and bug spray!”

“Sent my daughter here as a boarder 20 years ago, as a rising 10th grader. Before attending she was an underachiever at a private Catholic school in South Florida getting mostly C’s. This school gave her the incentive and skills to step it up and become a leader in and out of the classroom. She got accepted into the University of Florida, and now is employed in a great company in Atlanta, making great decisions for her firm, and earning a nice 6 figure salary with all the perks. I can HONESTLY say, this school was the beginning of greatness for my daughter. It taught her how to succeed for College when ordinary schools do not. Is it worth it? It depends on what you think your kids future is worth. After you answer that question it’s a pretty easy answer. This school is special. So many fond memories for me as a parent, just seeing my daughter grow, mature and become a successful leader. 20 years later I know where it all began. God bless.”

“Great playground. Poorly maintained tennis courts with terrible lighting. Its pitch black if the time expires and a solid 15 mins before they begin to fore back up. #LEDs PS Blowing pine needles from one side to the other each week doesnt actually remove them. Busy basketball court with very vocal young boys and men - not a G-Rated atmosphere for the adjacent children's playground. Please show some respect gentlemen.”

“One of the most beautiful modern memorial parks I've ever been in (many upright markers are pictured, but the vast majority of markers in this park were flat). Found some very interesting and ornate memorials and got a great workout walking around this vast park. Terri Schaivo is buried here.”

“Nice park in Western Largo. There is a small boardwalk through the mangroves that goes out to the water. There is a decent sized paved and unpaved (shell) trail through dense wooded areas. There are various trees including oak, palm, and mangrove and plenty of ground cover and brush. There is a creek, bridges, and a marsh as well. We saw a decent amount of wildlife, mostly birds while on our hike. There is also a picnic area, small playground, and restrooms near the parking lot. Also learned about German cockroaches from a weird sign in the middle of the woods...”

“A great variety of birds are located here so it's perfect for photography. They are used to people so you can get closer than normal. Go around the pond if you time is limited. Alligators can sometimes be seen when it's warm, usually in the 80s. Turtles sun themselves and fish are numerous. It is a water retention area so you don't want to fish there and sometimes there is a mass fish kill. No dogs allowed and no bicycles on the boardwalk. Feed the ducks frozen peas and corn and put your plastics in the bins. Floridians care about their parks and wildlife.”

“Well maintained, beautiful campground with lots to do! Kayaking, mini golf, cycle rentals, fishing, swimming, and more. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Trash was picked up quickly and firewood delivered to our site quickly when needed. The camp store had anything you might need plus a lot of fun stuff too. The cabins are very clean and beautiful. The pool was clean, clear and just the right temp. Just a few minutes drive to the beach as well as many stores in the area if you want to do some shopping. Very family friendly campground!”

“There is a nice grassy area that is fenced in so you can let your dog run free. There is also a drinking fountain for yourself AND your furry friend. The only issue is that the poop bag dispenser is hardly ever filled.”
