(July 6, 2019, 11:47 am)I really enjoy hiking here. Usually can see hogs, alligators, and the usual Florida wildlife. This is a nice place to spend a few hours for sure. Plenty of parking and covered picnic tables. Try to make it out on a week day if possible to see most wildlife.

(May 6, 2019, 12:29 am)Couldn’t have been happier with my visit here. The natural information within the visitors center is pretty good. The rangers that are parking are very knowledgeable and will answer anything you ask, or they will find someone who knows.
The land around the area is very pretty and you can tell that they have worked hard on it. -

(April 14, 2019, 12:14 pm)Florida is a great place for birding, this is one of the best I have seen there. Very close encounters with various birds seen in the area. Lots of trails and lots of alligators as well! Winter/Spring is the best time to visit as temps remain low and you can hike the long trails available in the reserve. Also it has got an amazing nature center if you are with kids.

(March 14, 2019, 3:17 pm)Great place for an outing. And free too! You want to see alligators? We saw at least 15 of all sizes. Perfect place for camera shots. Opens at 6 am. By 11am it's getting hot for walking. Supportive Shoes a MUST.

(March 10, 2019, 8:45 pm)Tons of wildlife. Lovely trails. Great nature Discovery center, good little picnic pavilions, too. Recently went for a nature walk with kids and husband for a family day. Walked about 3 miles and it was great. Will definitely be going back.
