Clean and private campground! Each spot is spacious and secluded between a Grove of trees so you get shade and privacy. There are a limited number of spots in the rear of the campground that face a lagoon. There's a small dock where you can fish right on the property and a small sandy area to walk or swim. You do have to walk across the street to get to the beach from the front of the park but there's a public parking and beach access right there and traffic isn't too bad so its an easy cross. The pool is at the front as well. It was hidden a bit in the trees and gated. You can't see the pool itself until you go through the gate. It's totally private. The pool has a ramp to get in. I thought that was super cool for handicapped people but it was also pretty convenient for us to enter and exit! It's about a 20-min drive to the historic district of St. Augestine and the beaches. We loved the convenience of driving right on the beach. We were impressed with how clean the beaches were. Great trip!
I almost don't want to review this place to keep it as secret as possible. Legendary RV resort! Located between the beach and the bay, North Beach is one of our favorite campgrounds in all of the USA. There is a great pool and 2 restaurants basically onsite. We extended our stay and moved around to put together a roughly 10-day stay in the spring. Such a great part of Florida and the perfect place to spend quality family time. Vibe is super laid back; everyone is friendly and happy to be on vacation! We can't wait to go back.
A great place to camp, the pool, the beach across the street. Laundry and showers. Campsite was shaded, they have a lake on one side with restaurant and ocean on the other side with restaurant. I should have taken more photos. I would definitely come back. The staff was polite too and helpful. One downside is you have to bring your own firepit. They don't have any there.
What an amazing camping experience! All of the sites are relatively private with lush tropical landscaping and partly shaded. I don’t think you can pick a bad one. We had the pleasure of renting site 153 right on the river. It had full hookups and plenty of room to spread out. The view of the water was stellar! Everyone gathered for the sunset every evening and it was very family friendly AND pet friendly too. It’s a short walk across the street to the beach so the location is perfect. Also, you can just walk down into the river and spend a day there as well. The fishing pier was handy for those into that pastime. The bathrooms where a little dated but fine if you want more space for a hot shower than your rv. The front office has a little shop with everything you could need from RV necessities to ice cream to sandals to beer and wine. Make sure you take a stroll North up the river to Caps on the Water for a nice dinner. It’s a short drive into downtown St Augustine! We are already planning a trip back.
