  I remembered I was in Daytona Beach two years ago and a taxi driver told me about this forest. Then some days later I was in Saint Augustine and decided visit Watson Island State Forest. It's located in St. Johns County and the total area is not so huge as some others state forest in Fl. Indeed it includes 199 acres of Bottomland Forest, 129 acres of Wet Flatwoods. I drived there with a local resident in a suv.mitsub.all terrain. It was an awesome experience. As a matter of fact, due forecast, the weather winds changed faster in this region, so we decided return to St.Aug. and did not reach St.Johns River as we planned, unfortunately.
