“Hello my name is Mary Lou and my husband has been resident here a Brookedale in Deland, Florida since March of 2017 and let me explain how lucky I am to have my loved one in such a great facility. My loved one was in 3 other facilities before coming to Brookdale. The stress was through the roof for me. Some of the other facilities were losing his clothes, druging him to the point he would barely talk, he fell and broke ribs In One-of the other facilities. Brookdale is very different, they really care about their people and check on them often, and if there is an important issue they check on them more often and are very caring. The other thing is this facility is very very clean, this unit opened two and a half years ago, and there is no odors, and if there is they clean the person and there room immediately, it’s amazing. The visitors who come here to see him sparaticIy always tell me how clean and neat everything is and that makes a big difference. So this the reason I give Brookdale a 5 star rating, I never slept a night with peace until my loved one came here. I know people fall but the safety measures here are very good and I feel confident that his is very safe here. I recommend that people check out several facilities and compare, because after 3 other facilities this one is the best. Thank you, Mary Lou Schanck”

“I really love the new location but can yall please put in some more paper towel and spray stations. It just seems like there is not enough. I feel like I have to walk and awkwardly long distance from my machine to a cleaning station and then the paper towels are usually empty or there are 2-3 people at a time trying to get theirs. By the time I get back to my machine with the paper towel, someone else already got on it or is trying to. Other than that I'm super happy with how the new location turned out :)”
