“A Florida classic. Large campground with nice sites. It’s a quick drive over to the spring. Glass bottom boats are a fun way to see the river. The five mile paddle to the end of the Silver River was an easy morning paddle.”

“This fish camp is the place of so many childhood memories of camping/lodging/fishing and overall fun. My parents used to take me here each summer and my father and I would rent a boat and fish for bass, crappie, and pan fish we would always catch enough to do a fish fry the last day we were there. I now have kids of my own and look forward to continuing that tradition”

“Eagle Rock Equestrian Club did a wonderful job building corrals, a round pen and paying for the 2 wells with pitcher pumps to use for our horses. Several nice trails take you thru different types of forest. Primitive camping but having water available is great. Generators are allowed and campsites are big......very comfortable.”

“Shh! Don't tell anyone about this place. Wouldn't want it ruined. It should remain the most secretive and mysterious place in natural Florida.”

“Joined together about 6 youth groups and had a blast. The ropes were fun and the food was good. It's a beautiful place, and the cabins were clean and the mattresses did just fine. We liked the water sports and the zip lining too. The facilities were great for large group and we went outside to the picnic tables for small group time. Lovely place.”

“I've been camping here for years, starting when my sons were little. Quiet little primitive camping spot with HUGE sites set in a beautiful oak hammock. Some could easily hold 5-10 tents. There are only 6 spots and they are far enough apart that it seems like you are by yourself (sites are on average 50-100 yards from each other. Bathrooms could be better, but compared to the Porto-potty they used to have, they are adequate. Bring everything you need, including firewood...none can be scavenged from the woods. Never had any trouble with either the people or the animals, but I have seen a bear or two while hiking.”

“We have been here since April and absolutly adore this place! I have read some of the previous reviews, and it's very clear to me that these are residents that are trying to make management look bad because they only follow the rules THEY want to, and may have been told more than once to get they're issues fixed. Rules are simple and must be followed to keep this campground, Motels, and permanent residents areas in some sort of order to make everyone happy. Miss Laura and her husband Tom would give you the shirts off they're backs so if you are planning to come visit, ignore the retaliation reviews because this park has the Most beautiful sunset we have ever seen, and the Lake, well those reviews speak.for themselves! Come see for yourself.”

“We’re working our way back south to our home and we stopped for the night at a campground in Daytona. When I walked into the office to check in, there was a ski cap on the counter so I told the woman that I loved it, because I could tell that it was handmade. She told me to take it if I wanted it because she said she made lots of mistakes on it and then proceeded to show me all of the things wrong with it. I gladly accepted it and told her that if she hadn’t have showed me I would have never noticed it. I love my new hat. ???????????????? IMG_0792.JPG”

“Great little gem on the edge of the Everglades. Torry Island is actually a series of small islands inside the rim canal on the southeast corner of Lake Okeechobee. Lots of wildlife to see with a neat hiking trail and observation tower. Golf course and fishing are nearby. The City of Belle Glade has been steadily updating the sites and making improvements. Some may be turned off by the Belle Glade address, but I assure you this feels worlds away. The staff is friendly and makes every effort to accommodate its guests. We've met and gotten to know a lot of nice people here.”

“Went camping there twice a year. The facilities were clean and maintained ok. Could have been better maintained. no places for recycling. We had to bring our own barrels and haul our own garbage out ourselves. The dorm rooms are ok. Lots of bunks and electricity.”

“What a wonderful place. The owners are so nice. We bought chickens and donated chickens and food. First visit they had just rescued a horse. He was so skinny and in need of much care. Three months later we returned and the same horse looked so so much better. You should donate.”

“We travel with my husband's job and came to the area very unannounced, during peak season. It was not the first park we called but only because I always start with closest to the address of husband's job site. Everything is full but thank God for Tait! Yes we are driving a little further to his job but he made sure to find a spot for us whereas other parks wouldn't even try! We literally gave him less than 24 hours notice of arrival and he worked us in! We have a view of the Indian River. I am here alone during the day while my husband works and have felt very safe. My dog and I have gotten out and explored the several parks around. There is a lot across the street that I take her and let her run and exercise. Also there is a dog park within walking distance!! She was able to play in the water right across the street and then have a day at the spa (to get cleaned up afterward) right here on the same block as the the RV park! Even tho we are having to drive a few extra miles to his job, (couldn't be helped) I am SOOOO blessed to have found this place and for sure will stay here again if we are in the area again!”

“Kayaked down Juniper creek. Lots of fun. Creek is very narrow and you have to navigate around submerged fallen trees. Saw a few alligators lying on the bank. Saw a buck. A group ahead of us claimed to have seen a bear.”
