“I have fond memories of this place. I used to stay here quite often when I would visit my mom in the nursing home where she stayed in Lakeland. I would go and stay for a week at a time and then come home. I remember my last week there in November 2014. It was a difficult week. I haven’t been back since. It’s a great hotel with great prices back then. Very clean, large, everything that I needed, refrigerator, microwave. Cracker Barrel very close on the corner. I won’t have a need to return though but do definitely recommend it.”

“We enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean the air was not stuffy. The price was $85 with taxes and breakfast included. Regular breakfast is served, waffles cereal, juices, muffins etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.”

Really liked that you could only access inside the hotel with room key, made me feel safe. ALL the employees were ALWAYS friendly and down to earth and the housekeeping ladies made sure to say hello to my daughter every day. This is the BEST pet friendly, extended stay hotel in the area hands down. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!”

“Absolutely thrilled about our stay at Castaways on the River. Had a 2 bedroom cottage and friends in the 3 bedroom. Rented a pontoon boat. Wonderful cottages nicely decorated, great porches and views. Boat was clean and in great shape. Debra and Sarah in the office were so accommodating before and during our stay! This will be our annual summer getaway!”

“Office staff is nice. My family and I are here till the 18th through the thousand trails collection. They had a spot that had a screened in porch, we asked they gave. Then we have a 30 and the spot was a 50. They lent us the converter with no problem. The only complaint if I had one that they can't control is the sound of the train. But my husband was able to catch blue crab from the back of the RV park.”

Quiet and Sherrifs parked in the town all time. Close to great levee access. 30 miles to Palm Beach at 1/5 the price.”

“I love it....clean, cross the street there is souvenir stores, hot sandwiches on the corner, market store. We got a room with king bed....very comfortable. Gym in the morning, ocean in back yard. Price wise ....perfect. Room have small kitchen, dishwasher, clean and nice size bathroom. Small hotel with 4 levels but our interest in this trip was the sun and ocean. We been happy, kids been happy.... I recommend it, staff was friendly, I have NO complaints. I give a 5 star for the $$”
