“I don't know what people are talking about that gave a bad review. My husband and I are staying here for awhile.and it's been a pleasant stay. The manager,Sophie,is a sweet lady. Very respectful. The housekeeping staff Rosie and her sister Barbara, couldn't be sweeter or more accommodating. Not once have I seen any bedbugs or any bugs for that matter. We feel very safe here. Comfy beds, and clean linen daily. Beautiful Lake Howard is right behind the property. Reasonable weekly rates. I would definitely recommend this fine little hotel to anyone staying in Winter Haven. Will be staying for awhile. Love the retro look. Just as I imagine old Florida must have been like. Thank You signed Janice Leise.”

“Such a wonderful place with kind & helpful staff!!!! What a great value, the room rate per night was the about the same as other places that were WAY below the standard of this hotel! We were a party of three in a room with two double beds so we reserved a roll away bed & it was actually pretty comfortable! The room was immaculately clean & smelled so fresh! I suggest requesting a room with a window facing out of the back of the hotel like ours because it offers a nice forest view! The bathroom was SO clean & refreshing! The breakfast was better than some I've had a restaurants! So tasty and so many options, not just oatmeal and stale toast. They offered fluffy eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles batter & waffle maker, cold yogurts, fresh bagels and fresh fruit! WOW! My family and I make the trip to Deland almost every year and hadn't come across this hotel until this year and we will NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!! This place is such a great value & we can't wait to return!! Extra special thanks to the staff that were genuinely pleasant & SO helpful!”

“We are about 60 feet away from the Intercoastal Waterway. Awesome. Management is outstanding they really care about your comfort. Dawn goes out of her way to assist and help. Would've given a 5 star rating if the drinking water was better. We will return next year. This park is not a resort but a Great Fishing camp with good people. Dog friendly!”

“Lovely place to stay on vacation with the family. We try to go every summer, exclusive no driving beach, nice pool with hot tub, very clean building, some of the units are not fancy however watching dolphins while enjoying breakfast on the balcony more than makes up for it. The two ladies in the office (one blonde and one brunette) are very accommodating, friendly and helpful, they will even give you a tour of the building if you're a new visitor.”
