“Worst day, fixed by amazing Alaska airlines employees. Our day started out waiting in line for US customs in Vancouver airport. My girlfriend and myself got sent to secondary inspection, where we were put in a lineup that took 2 hours and 30 minutes to finally speak with US customs agent. Resulting in us missing our flights, and connector flights. When it started getting close to the time of our boarding time. I mentioned it to one of the agents, he chuckled a bit and said yup we are working hard at getting you guys through. And they would pay for our ticket loss if we missed it and were granted access. (which they didYou’d think with how many border guards there was they would be able to get 6 people through in less than 2.5 hours. But no, they don’t care. They were extremely rude with us as we were very patient and very polite. Making us feel like prisoners. Once they let us through the border guard actually lied when I asked if they will be covering our missed flights, she said they would and to follow her, and one of there agents on the other side of a one way door would help us with it. We got to the other side of the door and it was where all the gates are, with no agents in site. Our flight had already left and no one was at the gate anymore. We found another Alaska airlines gate and talked with the amazing Alaska airlines reps and they gave us the number for “Alaska Airlines in Boice Idaho. “ I called the number expecting to be on hold as I know airlines are very busy. My call was answered almost immediately with the most kind, helpful, and professional representative for any company I’ve ever spoken to. Her name was Susanne Hoffman. With limited flights she did all she could to get us on the immediate next flight to get us off toward our destination. After us telling her why we missed her flight she asked if I could hold a minute while she talked to her superior, the man behind the scenes “Vinnie”. Very quickly they had us booked on the very next flights, and on top of all the great customer service they even waived both of our ticket prices!! Now our tickets originally cost us over $700!! Not only did they waive our ticket prices, but the Alaskan airlines at the gate gave us $24 worth of food vouchers we could use while we waited for our next flight. None of this being their fault or responsibility, they definitely treated the situation amazingly. I’m not someone to write many reviews but in this case I honestly can’t believe how amazing Alaska airlines has treated both my girlfriend and myself. We are both extremely thankful and will definitely be booking again with Alaska airlines. Thank you so much Susanne Hoffman & Vinnie! From the Boice Idaho location! You guys rock!! Not sure why the valet only service is such a bad thing according to other reviews (it's so convenient, and they will let you park your car if you so desire). Rooms are incredibly clean and the decor is lovely. Grab and go breakfast is fantastic, and the 24/7 3rd floor has games galore, and coffee whenever you desire. The location is close to all sorts of great places. Two thumbs up. ;)”

“Stiles Hotel is a good place to stay, their receptionists are so kind. I came in a little early before my check-in time after a long trip the receptionist was kind enough to let me in omg! This is one of the reasons I took my time to write this concise review. I was in this hotel in 2018 July, I came again in 2019 July, I stayed in the same room for summer vacation. The hotel has three pools, their rooms are spacious, clean, and welcoming. The hotel is close to South Beach which is about two blocks away, it's also walkable to Lincoln Road where they sell all the brands like Swatch, Zara, Superdry, Soho, forever21, H&M, Steven Madden, Marshalls, Guess, etc. The Stiles hotel offers breakfast but you have to go to Essex House a few blocks away to do the breakfast which ends at 11 am from Monday to Friday and closes at 10 am on the weekends they have a lot to eat for breakfast. Once you check-in they will give you a card that you can use to get a free Piña Colada drink from Clevelander South Beach which in front of the beach. Inside the Stiles hotel, they have a Shuckers Bar. I would recommend this place.”

“First and only hostel I have stayed at. It was a great experience. There is a bar and common area that attracts a lot of people throughout the day. Then there is a lounge area specifically for hostel guests with some games. The rooms were cleaned daily when I stayed and there is more than enough storage spaces for luggage. I would stay here again while in Miami.”

“Booked last minute at about 1am because me and my friends were in a terrible accident on our way back to North Carolina, from Miami. The room was fine, for the price we paid. Could have been better, but could have been worse, but it was perfect for what we needed it for- just to sleep. The room did smell like cigarettes, even though we chose a non-smoking one, but that was the least of our worries at the time. Due to us being in an accident and totaling our car, we were forced to wait until my friends mother could drive down from North Carolina to come get us the next afternoon. Because of this, we needed a late check out. Lois at the front desk was VERY understanding and helpful and let us stay until my friends mother arrived. She was so nice and noticed that we were all injured from the accident, so she gave us her personal icy-hot spray, out of the kindness of her heart. We were so thankful for her, and appreciate what she did for us. Thank you Lois!!”

Although the hotel is not beach front, the beach is an easy walk . The ocean view from our balcony was nice. I would have preferred the free breakfast or a change to add this breakfast to my room. I enjoyed the restaurant by the pool. The staff was super friendly.”
