“We really like it here (we've been here several times this winter). Front desk staff is super nice, check-in is always a breeze, mail/package service excellent, great pool, super location. Yes, their sites may be a little small but our big rig did just fine! Will definitively be back next time we're in the Orlando area. Wish they had recycling, though...”

Sand Hill Preserve

Park

“This was a great little hiking place and it's dog friendly. Dogs must remain on leash but my dog enjoyed it anyway. We rarely ran into other people which was nice. Though you could hear the traffic from the surrounding roads no matter where you were along the trail. Be warned the map at the beginning seems out of date as there were more trails than what showered on the map, all marked. The website also does not work. The parking lot is very sandy and I was afraid of getting stuck in my small little car. Highly recommend for a few hour hike with dog.”

Pompano Beach

Address: 10 N Pompano Beach Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062, USA

Park

“Very nice beach. The best feature for me is the access to restrooms and a nice snack & coffee stand, with tables, chairs and umbrella, were you can get a quick lunch without having to leave the beach or give up your parking spot.”

Fern Forest Nature Center

Address: 201 S Lyons Rd, Coconut Creek, FL 33063, USA

Park

“Beautiful boardwalk through the cypress forest. Did it twice it was so good, and saw an armadillo! Great service at the interpretive center, and a beautiful place to spend an hour. However, their wading bird walk is disappointingly short, about 200 ft at best, without a great view of the small pond/canal either. No wading birds at 4pm in January, which wasn't too surprising, but I felt the map implied the walk would have been longer and closer to a larger body of water.”

Veterans Memorial Park

Address: 7044 NW 1st St, Margate, FL 33063, USA

Park

“Walking around in my new neighborhood found this quaint park which is across a soccer/ baseball park. Very well maintained and I imagine a favorite for the boat lovers to launch their crafts from 2 ramps provided. Also a great place for some bass fishing. Myself??...I fully enjoyed the day sitting on one of the several benches provided. Ah, this weather...enjoying while we can.”

Gary B Jones Park for People and Pups

Gary B Jones Dog Park

Address: 8101 Southgate Blvd, Tamarac, FL 33321, USA

Park

“Really nice dog park. Maintained well on a daily basis. Lots of green grass and dogs have a lot of room to run in both the small and large areas. I wish it was lit up so we could stay later at night. Usual complaints regarding other owners... their dogs trying to hump my dogs and them not intervening to stop it... or, not paying attention to picking up after their dogs. But the park itself, is great.”
