“We recently stayed here with our converted cargo trailer, and it was a great stay! The campground was clean and facilities well maintained. We don't have a restroom in our camper, so we used the bathroom and showers on site. They were cleaned daily and even had a lock code. They had daily events, but since we were busy sightseeing we didn't get to attend any. The playground was small but clean. Check in process was easy, and they helped accomodate the fact we needed to be able to walk to restrooms but also had a young child so needed further space from highway. We used a white noise machine in our camper, so the road noise didn't bother us much. Traffic is busy on road in front, but we just waited and we were able to easily pull out each time. They had a staff member guide us to our spot, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend! Was about 45 minute drive to zoo area and 30 minutes to Honeymoon Island State Park. Will definitely be back!”

“I and my friends had a great time on the pristine waters of Manatee Bay. Water is warm and our cruise among the mangroves was so much. For most of the area, you can get out of your kayak (or off your paddleboard) and do some great snorkeling. We saw 2 manatees and a black-tip reef shark......so cool, but never felt threatened. Highly recommend their services.”

“This park is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, convenient and child friendly, I have 3 kids (11, 4 and 1) my 4 yr old has autism and is a wonderer who often escapes, but during my visit here I felt it was much safer for him and was able to allow him more freedom due to the gates and fences that provide protection in the park.... my kids especially loved the splash pad and I enjoyed relaxing while my kids had fun. Terrific park for all ages I've been here several times and look forward to returning here. Also I don't live in Pinellas County but I travel to several parks no matter the distance if they are great parks, and this park is worth the travel.”

“Wow what a great experience. As an animal lover, this was just ab the best part of our 5 day trip here. I loved the great info from both shows and got to hold a baby alligator too! Over 250 alligators to see of all sizes. If you cant decide whether to add the boat ride, think no more, add it. Very fun, safe and once in a lifetime experience. All so affordable.”

“Nice place, nice trails. Wish there were more over hanging trees to walk through on hot days like yesterday. They have restrooms and water bottle fill stations. However, this park reminded me more of my hikes in the desert than in tropical locations.”

“My family and I loved this park. There is a bait shop and a Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The kids enjoyed both the small and the larger playgrounds and they loved the spray park. The guys went fishing on the pier and I especially loved the fact that we were able to bring our dog Max so that he could enjoy the park as well that was a definite plus.”

“This is such a lovely park. It has a lot of open space, picnic pavillions, and a water view to die for. It actually has 2 water views. On one side, you can watch the boats go by from the marina and wonder where these people get all that money to own and maintain these beautiful boats. The other side overlooks Sarasota Bay and downtown. Both sides are really pretty. There's a pay electric car changer and a little restaurant on the incoming road. Thank goodness, the snowbirds are finally leaving and we got a picnic table today!”

“Seminole Park is located in the Plantation Isle neighborhood across from Tropical Elementary and Seminole Middle schools. The majority of the park is a large open green space ideal for exercise and play. Park amenities include a half mile jogging path with 20 exercise stations. During my visit many people were exercising on the course and I joined them after I ate the picnic I brought. The park also has a restroom, a playground although part of it was boarded off, two lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, two covered picnic tables which were in the process of getting new roofs, and picnic tables where I ate. Located within the park is the Happy Trails Dog Park. Pop Travers field park with softball fields and concession stands are linked to Seminole Park by a bridge over the canal. My favorite discovery in the park was a nest of burrowing owls near the sand volleyball court. Burrowing owls are considered endangered, threatened or of special concern in nine U.S. states. Unlike other owls, they are not strictly nocturnal and are active during the day. They make their nests in underground burrows, which are dug out by ground squirrels and they prefer open grasslands. A female was sitting outside the burrow and as soon as I approached she called out and the male flew out of the burrow to stand in front protect her. She's got herself a great guy. I didn't want to upset them so I left them to their peace but I did so enjoy seeing them during my little Earth Day celebration. We all have to do our part to keep the earth healthy and protect the vulnerable like these little guys.”

“Cute, small neighborhood park. There are swings, a decent sized field, and slides. The slides are meant for for kids 2-5 years old. There is also a small rock climbing wall for kids. If you live in the neighborhood, this is a great place to visit. There are pavers for a parking lot, but it might not be large enough for remote travelers.”

“This is an amazing place to visit and camp with your family. We had rented cabins to spend new years and had the best time here, bring your bikes (or rent on site) as they have beautiful bike trails and hiking trails. You can rent kayaks, canoes and boats here as well. This is on an island and you have to get on a ferry to get here, the ferry runs all day long till sunset and is free. The park rangers are very helpful and we were lucky to join one of the guided hikes to start 2022.”

“This is one of my favorite spots in South Florida. It's so relaxing to watch the planes fly. The park is amazing and you can ride your bike around then stop in, sit in the shade, get water and watch. And you just might get the urge to join in and start flying. They have swap meets ever so often to help get you started. Highly recommend stopping by and watching.”

“Love the light's and tree's around the trail. We're still sad they removed the bench surrounding the great oak. We'd love to see a swing set and more equipment for children. Everyone is super friendly and the park is very clean. Tons of nature and very pet friendly.”

“There are many species of birds that live in the beautiful trees that surround the clubhouse. When I did the Great Backyard Bird Count, Merlin Bird ID and I identified 23 species of birds during two morning walks with my dog. There are many gorgeous Eastern bluebirds here! There is also a nice track for running/walking and a thriving tennis program. Can't comment on the clubhouse interior. They used to have the most unfriendly and rude staff, hopefully that has changed, but I vowed at one point to never go back inside and stuck to it. That's why my review has to focus on the exterior. The grounds are clean and well-maintained, good job on that.”
