“Stunning and peaceful! Definitely worth going to check out! There is so much life out there and so many beautiful parts of nature to soak up. If you get a chance to visit, definitely make the time. Many places offer airboat tours and they are really worth it!”

“Good spot for this side of town when it's too windy for the beach. Access to the intracoastal. Be careful if you have swimmers in season ????”

“Beautiful park with pavilions, volleyball courts, and a generous parking lot. The bathrooms were decently clean for an outdoor place, there is a shower outside to rinse off after a swim at the beach. Just be careful of the Man of Wars that wash up on the shore!”

“You have to love dogs to love this beach.. there are always the few without leashes but almost all are super friendly and just want to play.. maybe walk all over your towel and kick sand everywhere.. but it's fun to dog-watch, and you can catch some decent waves during the cool seasons (check the surf cams) and chill all year round.”

“The pier was really nice, very family oriented , everywhere I look I saw family with their kids playing on the sand or taking a walk with strollers. No pets allowed inside the pier. I really nice place to go spend and afternoon with the family and breathe some fresh air and from the Atlantic Ocean.”

“This is one of my favorites. Very beautiful, quiet and remote. Laser beam straight the whole way except for a very gradual bend in the middle. You may not even notice it as you enjoy the scenery. This is the flatest long rail trail you will ever ride. Most of the way is green tunnel with pretty cedar swamp to the east and cattle grazing in giant pastures as flat and green as pool tables to the west. Park at the Polk City trailhead. This is your last chance to acquire food and drink. You must bring in everything you will need. Once you pass thru the trail entrance at the north end of the parking lot the only services you will find are 2 bathrooms spaced along the way and another at the north end. There is drinking water at the bathrooms but beware. I filled my bottle at the north end and the water was brown chunky style. That's it, no store, no restaurant, no nothing. Cell service can be weak. Bring some tools, at least enough to fix a flat. But fear not! Bring the kids! You can take in just a few miles. The trail is wide, flat, paved and you won't even hear any traffic, easy and safe for young ones. Or, you can provision up and conquer the whole 58 mile round trip. The Van Fleet trail proves that central FL can be very beautiful.”

“Great place to camp in the Ocala National Forest area. It's within range of several other campgrounds and hiking trails, as well as the nearby town of Umatilla, where there are some grocery stores and gas stations. The camping spaces are cozy little niches carved out of the woods, arranged in a cul-de-sac formation, and with good natural privacy barriers in the trees. Large restroom is centrally located, and as clean as you could reasonably expect at a campsite. When l was there, l saw no pesky park rangers or state employees to bother you. No annoying 'quiet hours' or any other unnecessary rules that would cramp your experience. Fees are super small. Leave your payment in a dropbox and hang your ticket at your camp space. I really enjoyed the place and I'll be back.”

“An inexpensive and fabulous little campground surrounded by tall pine and palm trees. At night, glow worms skittered about the ground whilst the stars echoed their shimmer above. Peaceful, quiet and secluded, with fire pits and picnic tables. Nice.”

“Would have given five stars however they do not have a kids play area and dog area is very small. Other than that really enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and nice campground and marina. The sites were massive, with good gravel coverage could use more water pressure but everyone was nice. One of the top KOA we have been to.”

“We give a 5 star recommendation to West Shore Outfitters! I had a great time hunting hogs with 3 friends. Our guides were very accommodating, since we were unprepared for our first hunt. A special thanks to Cody for being so understanding. Thanks for a great time from the North Dakota boys!”

“Nice clean place! Good size pool for the kids to cool off in. Close to Daytona and New Smyrna Beach, but still has that secluded camping feel! Sites aren't huge, but plenty big for most units... Pull through sites and nice clean showers/restrooms and laundry on site.”
