“The kids like climbing all over the playground obstacles. Great shade under the oak trees. I wish the oak tree leaves were removed from the play area. There are plenty of benches for families to sit on however I keep getting bit by small ants that keep climbing on me while sitting down on those benches. Other things you can do here... play baseball, softball, racket ball, football, soccer, and tennis and there is a small track that goes all the way around the baseball fields you can walk or run on. Also, there is a beautiful walkway out to a pier that overlooks the lake. Beautiful area to take pictures from. All of this is free. No parking charges either.”

“The toys are getting a bit old and dated, yet its still a great shades spot for a small group of people to enjoy some time outside with each other. Plus, even if Palatlakaha Park is too busy, this park usually isn't, and its close enough by that bathrooms are easy to get to. Parking can be a bit tight though.”

“2017 Love this place. Some of the friendliest managers and staff we have ever come across. They are truly concerned and helpful that you have the best experience at their facility and all work as a well coordinated team to make this happen. We had stopped in for a few days which became a month and now we have committed to 5 months. We are both very happy here. We will update this review as our stay here progresses. “Beautiful Woods lovely Trail, excellent for walking or bike-riding. However if your bike riding be aware that the sand is very difficult to pedal and particularly going uphill. We were there in early March and it was quite dry and the sand was a problem. Much of the trail is covered by pine needles and leaves and those you can pedal over quite easily it's just the bare spots that caused the problem.”

“I loved it I hontoon island. The people are great. The water in the bathroom showers was good and hot. Camp Host Tom was the all around guy. He seemed to do a lot around there and was very helpful. No matter the need or question he was our go to guy. Thanks Tom!! All of the staff was great. The place is beautiful and we met a lot of people in the week we were there. I recommend the site to anyone. They are accommodating and fun. Lots of things to see and do I the island. Had a great time.”

They just added a new basketball full sized court within the last four months, followed by an extraordinary new Children's playground so the whole family can have a great time while you're pets are doing their own thing playing with others of their kind. If anyone wants to visit they should visit the museum it's all but nature it's beautiful that tells you all about the years and the and a well Preserve timings. I really love this place usually I go on the weekends just sit around underneath the trees and and enjoy myself watching the boats going by the water the manglers trees I think they're beautiful the part of the nature so I do highly recommend this place plenty of parking lots and usually there's a lot of friendly peoples just having a good time . if you are bike rider you will love this place. Plenty to look at and planned it to enjoy yourself and while you there you should visit a tower really nice amazing view.”

“The Miami Beaches are nicer, but this one has less tourists, not as crowded and more local feel. It definitely caters to us natives and locals! If you are a Hollywood resident, use your “resident code” on the street parking meters for a nice discount! 2hrs parking is $3, for example. To obtain your resident code, fill out the page on the City of Hollywood website and provide your details (drivers license info, car registration, proof of Hollywood address through a lease or warranty deed.) Enjoy!”
