“We went for the walking tacos and I’m glad we did. They were so good. You could add rice and beans and any toppings you wanted, plus queso or salsa. I couldn’t resist the sound of dessert nachos. Boy, those were incredible. Tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The lady there was very friendly, didn’t catch her name. “I have not visited Dr. Small at his new location but when he practiced at Animal Hospital in Lakewood Ranch, he was our vet for approximately 10 years. During that time we had 4 different dogs with varying serious health issues. I have not had a more compassionate, gentle and professionally competent vet in my 40 years of dog ownership. When he left, I was led to believe he had relocated, so made no attempt to track him down but recently heard he is still in the area so will be calling immediately to see if he is taking “new” patients. By the way, I have been disappointed in the level of care with the group who took over when he left , but due to severe health issues myself, I stayed with them strictly for my own convenience. I cannot stress enough the personal and professional dedication Dr. Small exhibits to all his clients.”

“Dr. Astra is an amazing doc. When my husband got sick with his diabetes, he actually saved him from losing his foot. Other doctors wanted to cut his foot halfway off, then his whole foot, then up to his knee and then half of his leg. Dr. Astra said no we're not going to cut his foot or leg off. If it weren't for Dr. Astra I can't imagine what else would've been done. He is absolutely the best doctor and my husband had a vein disease and needed more surgeries done, we always asked for Dr. Astra. I wished my husband's primary doctor wouldn't send him back to Astra, I think it was because of our insurance. My husband past away 9-30-2018, 9 days after his 71 st birthday because he was septic. But we always have great praise about Dr. Astra, no one is or could ever stack up to him. I don't know if he still remembers us or not but he had see us a lot. Tonal and Angela Bernard. These are the perfect subs for a day out on the boat, too. Will definitely be a regular spot for us now that we have a 2nd home in Key Largo.”
