This location possesses an ancient energy. It is beautifully informative if you are able to tap into it.
Lying in the grass meditating between the mounds, a vortex opened overhead. The swirling discombobulated opening overhead was extremely similar in appearance to an artifact I saw in the museum afterwards.
They built these mounds to be nearer to it. Contrary to the purpose they state they were built for.
I took the library pass and went with the family. It’s just amazing to see what Indians have done and lived in this land long time back. The place is well preserved and maintained and we had a good time walking around the trail and knowing about the history.
The whole walk and visit took us around 2-3 hours.
Do not miss the river walk laid out in the map and the pathway under the bridge.
Had a great visit to the mounds. The park ranger gave an excellent history lesson on how the buildings were situated the culture of the people. Also the history of how they lived and kind of how they vanished. Also quite interesting was finding out about their domesticated dogs that have been around here for 5,000 years called now the Carolina dog.
Come out to visit tour the museum wonderful artifacts go up to the mounds even though there's 330 steps they are small steps so that older people like myself can get them fine younger people usually take into it at a time.
This place is amazing. We love history.
